    Pros/Cons of this game and how to keep the game going

    I am loving FF 14, but not 100% set on it as my MMO of choice. I NEED something to replace WoW after the horrible last 2 expansions. Here are my qualifications so people dont take this as a "QQ" post. WoW for 7 years. SWTOR for 6 months. Rift for over a year. EQ on and off. Less than a month of in multiple other MMO's. I also played FF 7, 8, 10, 10-2, 11, 12 and the 4 that were for original gameboy. I am also a computer programmer so I understand the PoV of players and dev's.

    I will start with the pros cause good news is always better

    Pros:
    -Great graphics.
    -Good/interesting fight mechanics.
    -I can be everything on one character which is amazing for "altoholics" like me.
    -Fighting chocobo with changeable armor.
    -LOVE the hunting log.
    -The amount of Tomestones dropped vs the cost of the items seems about right at lvl 50.
    -Soundtrack, especially in the fights (Garuda is my fav!).
    -Multiple ways to travel.
    -Achievement (I am a totally achievement whore).
    -Retainer, a new twist on the Auction House/Bank.
    -It actually takes skill to lvl crafting and gathering skills.

    Now to the cons...

    Cons:
    -No auto dismount to turn in quests or attack mobs.
    -"In progress" button needs to be removed and merged with the normal queue so if a group loses a tank/healer they can finish. Currently, if you lose one, it is a 25+ minute wait IF you even get one.
    -More 4 man lvl 50 dungeons, I am getting tired of farming Amdapor Keep(yes, I know about patch 2.2).
    -Looking into switching to 5 mans (3 dps) to reduce dps queue times.
    -More functionality and options for chat (Blacklist from chat, smaller than 12 font chat, copy + paste from chat, get player stats window from chat, etc.)
    -No Free Company UI during instances.
    -No tells during instances.
    -Can't queue with Chocobo out and get kicked from Dungeon Finder if it is summoned.
    -White Mage healing does WAYYY too much threat and most tanks loss aggro to them on trash easily.
    -Bard needs a dps Limit Break because the sub-class is not conjurer anymore.
    -No way to track/untrack quests.

    as said in beta the targeting system is very poor and overall combat is just sluggish
    2.5s gcd for a healer trying to remove a debuff from a target as your tank is getting hit for 30% of there hp a swing getting crit for 50% that 2.5s gcd is just nuts EVERY ability needs to have a different gcd. things that cast fast need to have a shorter gcd...dps abilitys should stay at 2.5 many many others need to be reduced

    Spell speed reduces the gcd. I have a feeling that is where healers are going to want to go as a 2nd stat.

    I have to disagree with your 2nd con. When I queue up my intentions are not to finish someone else's half run. It's great that there is an option, but it should stay an option.

    I totally agree about WHM aggro. It's a little insane at times.

    I agree the targeting system needs tweaking.
    WHM threat seems to be really high but I'm getting better at managing it.
    The new dismount when you attack,talk to a NPC or try to enter a town is just sill especially when entering town. I shouldn't have to get a prompt, wait for my guy to dismount just so I can then load into town.
    Switching to 5 man may be tough, they'd have to retune all the group content to account for the extra dps and I'm sure there are many other things.
    The in progress button is useless. Does anyone actually use that? The inability to kick someone is dumb enough but ya I agree, having a tank throw a hissy fit and leave screws the entire group, or having a dps that fails or a healer that fails ect.
    The chocobo thing drives me nuts. I just stopped using it because inevitably I'd be questing away and queue for a dungeon then get the bird out for kicks and get removed from queue.

    I believe vote to kick is coming in 2.2 along with ilvl requirements in all lvl 50 instances.

    Only talking about the currency for gear, Tomestones.

    From tool tip: "Affects the recast timer of weaponskills". Recast = cd. 2.5 secs is the gcd in this game and it is called "recast" on the abilities.
