"Mounted" music...

I would love to be able to simply hear the zone's music while I'm on my chocobo. We do have the option in the settings to turn off all sound while mounted, but there is some beautiful zonal music in this game, and I spend a great deal of time on my mount.

I'd just like to be able to hear the original zone's music while mounted, and not have to choose between the "chocobo" theme and no music at all while mounted.

What do you guys think?

What? There's an option under the sounds that says "Play mount music." Uncheck it and it's the zone music.

I must have a bug or something, then, because no music plays when I uncheck that box. It's just dead quiet, even with the music turned all the way up.

zones can get quiet from time to time keep moving around and something'll play. especially near hubs.

If you uncheck it while on a mount, you're not going to hear any music until you move to a location that has different music. The zone music in the game does not loop.

As I said in another thread, I'd love if the mounts came equipped with a "CD player" so you could choose any track you want to play during these periods of transport.

I think it's fairly ridiculous they won't let us loop the actual area background music, but listening to the chocobo song for half an hour is totally OK.

I just really, really wish the chocobo music was a different rendition. The version we have currently is much, much too jarring/bouncy to be played so frequently.

Hearing the mount musics all the time is so annoying. First thing I did when I logged in after realising theres such option was to uncheck the box under sound!
