    Idea for second THM job: Taoist

    The idea for this is balancing Light and Dark, or Yin and Yang. Fire would become Yin/dark and Blizzard would become Yang/light, Thunder would become Twilight.

    The rotation would stay the same except for whatever Job abilities it gets, I'm thinking at least one would be Chi Blast. Also it would cross-class from as well as ACN instead of BRD, for Chakra, Mantra and Internal Release.

    W--why would you make fire dark and ice light when fire is astral and ice is umbral, and they have been since 1.0 launched?

    And I need to agree, that with the same rotation, it would just be the same job with different looking abilities~

    Balancing of light and dark was thm's first idea. They changed it off of it. While it's an interesting thought. Jobs are always a traditionally named Job from FF history. I dont' think I've ever even heard of "Taoist"

    ALSO. SE explicity stated that the reason classes will even receive another job all together, is to fill a different party role. Blm is straight dmg. This would me it's mirror job would not be. I believe it would be an off support like brd. DDing until a certain kind of support is needed.

    Edit: Some given examples for you is pretty easy. "Dark Knight" coming off of gladiator as a DPS job. Some other unnamed job coming off of pugilist that specializes on tanking. "Sage" For conjurer to toggle for DPS.

    Yes and no. Famitsu's guide book/mook on FF Tactics translated Rafa and Malak's jobs to read as Taoist.

    That being said, Mystic/Oracle would be a very plausible job for THM, considering that Mystc/Oracle is also known as Ying-Yang Mage. >.>

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Lore wise there is nothing light about thamaturgy or black magic They are using the dark arts that is connected with the void itself. The very void where all the demons live.

    Dark knight is most likely going to require thamaturge at level 15 considering the lore of this game the dark knight is going to be connected to the void like the black mage.

    Plus in final fantasy XI they used black magic and great weapons. Plus yoshi said he could not see the dark knight wielding anything but a great weapon. So I think it will require marauder, since they used great axes, two handed swords and scythes in XI.

    Dark knights have only [exclusively] used two handed weapons in two games. FFX-2, and FFXI. In almost every other FF game they are generally depicted as having a one handed sword. And honestly, how do you cast magic when both hands are using your weapon?

    Hey I am just saying what yoshi said he said if they were added to the game he could not see them using anything but a great weapon. Plus paladin's use cure and raise with both hands full so its not that big of a deal. Lancer casting protect with both hands full.

    Plus the reason why that I said most likely dark knight will require thamaturgy/black magic at level 15 because most likely LORE wise dark knights will be connected to the void to get their power and Thamaturgy is connected to the void.

    The only spell school which is connected to the void is thamaturgy/black magic plus as I said its a dark art its like how paladin requires conjurer.
