What class and dungeon/guildhest you queued up for?
I dread queuing for the Duty Finder.
When it was first announced I thought it was going to be a great idea. Click and go.
I really love the idea of doing other stuff while waiting but the reality is that 30 seconds to switch to your correct class (unless you have a macro) is sometimes extremely difficult. There have been many times where I'm in the middle of an HQ synth and DF pops. I have to cancel my 50k synth or risk trying to finish it in and 30 seconds and quick switch to the correct job/class.
I have had some sucky experiences too where the tank is wearing armor 10-15 levels below and the whm runs out of mp. The 30-60 minute wait makes it next to pointless for what I thought it was intended for.
IDK. I like the concept, I just wish they had put some more thought into how it was actually going to be used. Its like they just threw something together and hoped for the best.
so queue as tank, took me 1min to have a pt formed and says average wait is 15min for an instance. Better than it was, and given AK is not the most efficent way to farm tomestones anymore, specially with the wait, people will start doing more then just AK (once they do there few runs for 300/300) and the queue will adjust accordingly.
the question I have is did they address the actual issue of getting put back at end of instance line if someone does not click to join (i.e. instant reforms party, but back of line for instance)
Been farming ifirit 5 days straight now, just qued for 45 minutes for an instant wipe and disband! These wait times are killing me.
Really not enjoying this game at all at the moment!
I agree 100%... they forced us to used the Duty Finder even if we have all the players in a premade on the same server. There is no reason for this sort of problem and to be honest.... that lack of communication from the devs is appalling.
So SE holds a gun at your head speaking literally and tells you to use the duty finder instead of socialice with others to build a group? Kind of interresting. Oh and that a gorup Disbands after a first wipe is also the fault from SE and not from the players. The problem is not enough people try to form own groups and not enough people play healer or tank classes. That can not SE or Dutyifinder solve. Maybe jump over your own shadow and become tank/healer for a change.
Honestly, not going to try to white knight for SE because I don't really care about them as a company, but I will say that this is not their fault at all. Its a dungeon finder system issue. Its like this in any other MMO with the system implemented in it.
Its not SEs fault that nobody wants to play a tank, and its not SEs fault that there is a natural discrepancy in dps to healer/tank ratios. Unless they're going to make 3 man grouping a thing, its just a fact of life.
Dungeon finders suck, and I'm glad to see atleast some people in this game are still keeping the old tradition of building their own groups.
"Waaaaaaahhhh I'm not fully geared at endgame after 2 weeks"
Do something else then, play something else until the worst wave of your kind have gone back to their other mmos.
Are you retarded? Did you read any of my posts... I said that im upset I cannot play content. Nothing about not being able to geared instantly... im far from it. I simply want to be able to play the lvl 50 content.
They could increase the party size to 5 and have 3 dps so the dps queue is shorter, but they also need to do something about how long the "reserving instance" takes.
Also they need to remove the "in progress" button and just have the normal queue be both fresh and in progress like every other MMO. If a tank or healer drops 50 mins into your run, the run is over...
