    Sprint Macro

Hi Im wondering if there's a way to make a auto sprint macro? Like a macro that will automatically use a sprint when it becomes available again, some sort of infinite refresh macro? Or if not does anyone know the timing of when sprint is refreshed form when you hit the button to sprint? Thanks so much in advance

I don't know the recast time but if you mouseover it or look at it in your skills list it should tell you how long it takes to reuse it.

if i am not mistaken a full sprint is 20 seconds (full TP bar) and 30 sec cd? sorry im at work

    /ac sprint
    /wait 31
    /ac sprint
    /wait 31
    /ac sprint

you get the idea. repeat as many times as needed. /ac and /action are the same

good post here on reddit on this subject, pretty sure my simplified version works also: https://pay.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...l_game_macros/

The wait command would need to be longer as there is a (10 s?) cooldown on Sprint (after it expires).

curious as to why you would want this though... if you notice sprinting take almost all your TP... depending on your class this could be bad entering all battles with reduced TP... once you get a chocobo you really don't need sprint as much... but i definitely think that auto sprinting in a dungeon or instance would be pretty detrimental to your group. Maybe I'm just thinking to hard...

Why? Sprint is a one button command. I can see making a macro that includes multiple actions, but one action?

And what's really questionable is how many times do you need to use repeatedly? Funny you would hit and then stop at your destination then your character takes off again because the macro is still running lol.

Sprint doesn't make you start moving. If you stop at your destination and the macro keeps firing, you'll be standing still emptying your TP over and over until it stops.

I could see this being useful for the pre-mount levels when you're running through somewhere you know you won't get aggro (or at least, aggro you can't just ditch through leashing). Or in cities.

You can also stop any macro by firing another macro. So if you reach your destination, you can turn this "off" with another macro that just contains, for example /recast Sprint.

TP regeneration helps build Limit Breaks, so I assume you want the macro to help with that?
Ideally you'd not be using any macros in battle, but as suggested above all you can do is repeat the command in the macro a few times. There's no way to program a loop or execute another macro from within a macro. This is to prevent play automation.
