I don't want to join a Free Company because...

I can't find one that suits my playstyle, and I don't enjoy being bothered by people most of the times with questions they can answers themselves on xivdb/quick search on any site, even google.Since right now most of the players are new, they spam everychat with the same question over, and over, and over, being that i had to teach newbies in wow for 9 years, I'm a tad tired.Also dkp systems in 2013 make me cringe, so half my server FC's are to be excluded <.<

I also raid in other games so what's the point for me joining one if I can't partecipate since the events are streamlined all at the same hour at the same day of all ls's? Or why would I join a ls where I'm the only lvl 50?

I'm guessing most people could relate to this <.<

also: the next damn fc that asks me to register to their website that is empty and will cause me only grief since it's just a damn waste of time the forum, I'm going to start blacklisting people <.< seriously, why all the damn need of a useless thing no one in game cares or ever cared? In 15 years of gaming I had 2 guilds that actually used the site for anything besides spam.Stop with the unique snowflakes thing, most people play the game for playing the game, not for chatting in the damn FC forums <.< and those who do can easily make their forums themselves <.< argh.Hate.

Hold up, everybody referring to themselves as "antisocial"! This word is widely misunderstood and refers to jerks who are ruining society for everybody. If you are merely inclined to mind your own business, you are "asocial". Nothing wrong with that.

Personally I'm not in any rush to join a Free Company. I've had the guild experience in other venues. Sometimes it is great. Often it is not so great. From the friendly groups that fade as people seek more progressive raids to hardcore teams that simply burn out after one too many sleepless nights, there is a mercenary ebb and flow that doesn't appeal to me.

If I ever join a FC it will be for loyalty to the specific people involved. In the meantime, I am content to heal anybody that comes along.

All my free Company ever do is talk about things in the game and sometime share tips about what to do in dungeon and primal fights.

Because of the potential drama.

I find that a lot of players in the game have great difficulty regulating their emotions and tend to subject other people to their immaturity. It's not fun having to deal with people who constantly try to guilt trip you ("you didn't say hi to me! you hate me!!", "omg why can't you study later, I need you in my group, you're a crappy friend") and other things on the same scale. I play this game to enjoy myself, not to be someone else's emotional punching bag.
