ADVICE PLEASE: Attribute points and transitioning from Arcanist to Scholar?

Hai! Thanks for taking the time to view my concern. And without further delay...

Okay, I've recently decided to pursue the Scholar job. And with that in mind, I'm now trying to plan out my attribute points. As an Arcanist, I can see putting all my points into INT. And then when I make the evolution into Scholar, most of the points will go to MND.

Am I thinking right here? Is there a better plan for attribute points for Arcanist (up to 30) and then for Scholar?

Also, is there an easier way to respec attribute points besides shelling out 20k to your Grand Company?

30 MND is the way to go if you plan on only playing SCH, otherwise a 15/15 split between MND & INT would be good if want to have fun with SMN too.

And I believe its 10k for the point reset from the GC, and that is the only way to reset it as far as I know.

Thanks for the advice. You've confirmed what I'm thinking and I appreciate that. I'm going full INT for ARC leveling and then once I hit 30 and become a SCHOLAR, I'll swap 'em to MND. Also, I don't plan on doing Summoner, so I'll go full on with it. Thanks!

30 MND, you won't regret it! I did regret my 30 INT cause I wanted to be summoner initially, then reseted. Dem seals But being a healer is like more bang for your buck, cause you actually get to play more and less idling, haha

But, it's okay to do full-on INT for Arcanist until I get Scholar, right? And good info there, by the way!

If you only plan on doing SCH put all 30 points into MND since they can use Cleric Stance as a cross-skill. In case you didn't know, it swaps INT and MND at will. Putting points into INT for your ACN until L30 won't make a big difference in dmg.

It's 10,000 seals to reset attributes.

BTW, ARC = Archer and ACN = Arcanist.

So, I'll be okay to put all into MND for ACN? I won't be hurting myself? And that Cleric Stance does a full flip of stats? Interesting!

Yes, it flips MND and INT and also buffs your attacks but reduces healing. But you won't be healing in this stance anyways, it's meant for soloing so you can kill stuff faster.

No, you won't be hurting yourself by going full MND. Once you get to L30, you won't be playing ACN anyways and getting to L30 is extremely easy and fast.

If you know you are going scholar from arcanist, go full mind. Why? Cleric Stance.

You'll actually do more damage as a scholar with cleric stance and a full mind build than you would from an int build. Cleric Stance swaps your mind and int and adds 10%.

There's no need to go INT for your first 30 levels anyway. I went full MND on my Arcanist, knowing I was going to get SCH eventually and I still leveled quite easily. You have plenty of dps, a heal, and a pet to tank and offer extra (and very decent) dps. It's one of the easiest and most fun classes to solo with.
