I just spent 2 hours in duty finder only to get shoved in a party with 1 afk dps and 15 mins on the timer. Thanks for the additional 15 min wait on top of my evidently tiny 2 hour wait.

Quitters have no right to complain.

If you look on the duty finder, there is an option that says "Join groups in progress" Uncheck that and you will only que for fresh runs.
Sometimes that works in your favor though. The other night we were doing the Eikon story dungeon to kill Ultimate Weapon. We were on Eikon and we lost our bard. So we 7 manned it and someone joined in progress on the First Stage of Eikon. We cleared him, the new guy got in on the next Version of Eikon and we cleared the dungeon. So he got a 2hour run in 15 minutes.

Also be sure to check all the languages. A lot of people don't do this. It actually does shorten time believe it or not. I always have all 4 checked.

Should be reduced to a 5 min lockout. I agree, you get an ifrit group and melee can't stay out of the plumes to, literally, save their life. It's a scripted fight people. Do a little research before just joining up and learn about the fight first. I'd honestly just want a 5 min lockout so I could go get a drink and not (hopefully) get stuck with the same people when they reque.
LOL you are all dbags, why not try to help people out a little? "tank cant hold aggro, im leaving" explain to him what hes doing wrong and continue! I hope they up the timer a little bit, I still see rage quits when I'm running lower people in my FC through dungeons to teach them what to do. People die and do poorly because they do not know how to do it right, just show them how to do it right instead of dropping the group.

There is an easy solution i think for this problem.
For dungeons after first boss you can leave without 15 minutes penalty, but then you need to make sure the bonus for completing the dungeon is high enough so people who only need a drop from first or second boss don't leave cause they have or missed the item the want.
For primal fights they should make it so that you can leave without penalty if you stay 15 minutes, that way you can't leave after 1 wipe but can after the second depending on how quick you wipe.

I get frustrated because people que up on DF without researching a single thing. Oh hey I can do ifrit, let's do it. Then you end up with tanks who tank ifrit in the center of the dungeon, blm's who don't LB on nails and cause a wipe, tanks that don't stun eruption and generally everyone getting caught in plume when the areas are totally scripted and pop the same spot every time in the rotation. Hate to say this, but one thing XI had going for it(that I hated, mind you) was making death cause you xp loss and you could delevel, This made people actually care about not just doing something and wiping over and over and instead do research and learn about a fight before going in blind. Also, no one wants to spend half their time teaching new people the fight. Sure you do it once in a while to be nice but when you do 5 ifrit runs a day and you're teaching people how to play 3-4 of those runs it gets old fast. Thus rage quitting.LOL you are all dbags, why not try to help people out a little? "tank cant hold aggro, im leaving" explain to him what hes doing wrong and continue!
