Like contests and prizes. A person will not stay in a quiet Linkshell or guild.

Forcing people to have 1 will do nothing to loyalty, nor is having multi LS's decrease in loyalty.

Personal experience, is the more rules you have less likely people will join, this is a video game not a work place. The sooner people realise this the better.
Indeed, I like being able to use different linkshells to talk to different groups of friends. Just because they are not in my main LS does not mean I should have to resort to using a friend list way of contacting each and every member in the other LS.

Oh I know.. It is a pain. This happen in WoW with my guild. People left but still were my friends and trying to have a convo was horrific. I think people forget that mmo are video games. You don't really need strict rules. Its just meant for fun, and relaxing entertainment. Not forcing people to act like it is a job with strict rules and scheduals. Getting forced to go to events isn't fun. More so if there is a D-bag in the shell who harasses you during the events with threats of bodily harm.

I met quiet a few psychos in mmo. Stalkers and such. It really brings the fun down.

I had the game Since CE launch, just was able to get my brother to let me play it on his laptop.
Honestly I would like a source or link tp the actuall interview not someones quoting on someones interpitation. Alot of ppl misinterpret things, so I wouldn't be surpized if people did on LS's. The reason is not everyone does have smaller Linkshells. I would still think he meant is making content fit those with smaller LS's, cuz forcing a smaller limit seems silly. And upset those in larger LS's.
