Why?
Certainly, there's nothing stopping you from starting a LS with a rule that it has to be exclusive. I know one LS on my server that used to have this rule, but even they changed it.
Why do you want to limit everyone to one LS at a time? What would it help?
Personally I think people should just have one linkshell, you have a social list which is more than adequate for getting things together cross linkshells and the companies will probably bring linkshells together as well. Also people put a lot of time into building a linkshell and watching it die because your members have no loyality is a sad thing. I started one on Trabia, which died because people used different shells, so when it came to linking most people had gone off and done their own thing. Then people who showed up to do linkshell stuff were mad because other just wanted to piggyback on their leves. The one I run now on Lindblum pretty much has the one linkshell rule and we are active throughout the world, with above 25 members on at all times. People party with people from other shells using the social list. A lot of people within my linkshell agree with my rule too, we are not elitist or anything, I just want to see something I have put a lot of time and enough into survive.
I do remember Yoshi saying that he was going to reduce the number of people in linkshells greatly and I feel that would make linkshell leaders more inclined to be exclusive. If you only have a max of 30 members then people who did not use your linkshell would probably be asked to drop. I would like Yoshi to comment on this matter. If he really intends to reduce the linkshell cap and if we will ever have controls for leaders.
I agree, I think most people (keyword most not all) are using multiple ls' for their own gain and not for friendships in different shells . Come on, not saying anything the entire time your on and soon as you see the ls doing Leves/NMS'/Factions you jump on and say hey you guys doing leves /NMS'/ Factions?. I belive in ls loyalty.. I wanna play with players who are there , active , and are helping their ls progress not just themselves.Personally I think people should just have one linkshell, you have a social list which is more than adequate for getting things together cross linkshells and the companies will probably bring linkshells together as well.
