New servers and the server transfers

Simple question: will server transfers be allowed to the new servers anytime in the next couple of weeks

These servers currently provide a chance for an equal start (no headstart, being unable to play on weekends due to queues) but transfers ruin that.

Of course, these servers may ultimately need the transfers to be healthy long term.

Curious as to the plans for this, I would consider rerolling to the new servers if there were no transfers for a month or two

I'm hoping at this point transfers are restricted to server type. Legacy can transfer to legacy. new can transfer to either. I'm hoping Legacy won't be able to transfer to new servers for several more months yet.

I really do not like the idea of legacy being restricted to legacy for server transfers. My other half is currently on a new server since they just started playing and I am on another. I have been looking forward to the server transfer so we can play together.

I think they should allow transfers to legacy servers but not from. Its too early to let people with that big of a headstart on other servers, new or launch. but i see no issues with letting people go the other way.
Of course they would need another legacy server for this, so at that point could just make a new regular server and flag it for legacy transfers as well, but dont flag any of the other servers for legacy transfers.

or you could have a specific amount of server that allow both legacy server players/new players to transfer to, and a set amount of server that only new players can transfer to.

I am reasonably certain that characters will not be able to be transferred from Legacy to non-Legacy servers for another 5+ months or so, as Yoshi-P has mentioned. I really wish they'd add at least one new server that allows 1.0 characters to transfer to it too, though. There are a whopping four US Legacy servers and I can't be the only 1.0 player that is starting to feel a little cramped. >.<

As for players transferring to the brand new servers from the previously existing non-Legacy servers? It'd be pretty ridiculous if it was not allowed and I can't see that sort of restriction happening.

At the same time, one of them should be no transfer for a few months(for the people who like an equal start but were unable too because of the launch issues)...but too late now since they are already opened.
They should really give more info about transfers other than they are coming

What happens if your name is taken on the destination server? Do you have to change your name? Or does the person who created their account first get priority? I recall there being an answer somewhere, but can't find it...
