Inventory Help (PS3)

Ok really n00b question here, be gentle, but I am running out of inventory space fast.
I found my room in the Inn and I see an armory chest, but I cannot put anything in it?

Am I not a high enough level, are the buttons just stupidly complicated (PS3) or is it perhaps a glitch? I have not seen anyone else with this problem so I feel like a tool.

Have you reached the story line quest where you are able to hire a retainer? You won't be able to use the armory chest in the inn until you are able to do so. Judging by your level (16) it's possible you haven't reached that part of the story line quest. Keep doing them until you do. You will be able to hire 2 retainers afterwards.

Storing holiday event goodies and your AF gear. You can't store the swimsuits you got at the Moonfire Faire there yet, but that should be fixed soon.
