Missing Genders: A request for Male Miqote, Female Highlander, and Female Roegadyn

Shes in a huge baggy outfit that doesn't allow her muscles to be shown off. Also you only see her in a cutscene and never directly against another character to judge her true size.

To add, people's definition of strength are different.

She could be very toned and ripped underneath that jacket and that would represent strength to some people just as much as if she were large and bulky. The designers could still use this type of depiction to delineate female Roe from their Elezan, Hyur, and Miqo'te counterparts as they seem significantly more "soft". I never really got how such a dainty little thing could pull off such incredible acrobatics as even female gymnasts are significantly more "fit" than the ladies depicted in XIV, but it really doesn't hurt my suspension of disbelief enough for me to call the development team out on it. So, from a design perspective it seems like they were just trying to separate female Roegadyn from the other currently existing female options but that begs the question.

What will Highlander females look like?

I am very curious as well. Are they going to go the "Visual Kei" route like a housecat/leopard/panther (FFXI). A sort of sleek silent stalker type creature if not effeminate (specifically in the case of FFXI) or the more Western depiction of masculinity which would align more with the depiction of a lion or a tiger (Thundercats). A more overpowering and intimidating brute force.

While I tend to align my aesthetics to the Western perspective (which is why I'm grateful they have Highlander Hyurs) I think it would be best if they modeled male Miqo'te after the leopard/panther "Visual Kei" concept. I think there needs to be an option for that type of character and I still think a person who wanted to play a more traditionally masculine role as a male Miqo'te would still be able to if they were designed with the leopard and panther in mind.

Female miqo'te, in my opinion, have a very 'asian supermodel' look about them, so I don't see why male ones wouldn't follow the same pattern.

I just hope they don't look butt ugly, I wouldn't want my race to be thought of as the cute girls + ugly guys scenario.

Q: On the upper left hand corner of the white board, "Female Highlander", "Male Miqo'te", "Female Roegadyn" and "Must Have". Does this mean that new races could be added?

A: It's more like something we must have in the game and it's a meeting log from when we were talking about adding them as soon as possible. After we calculate the cost, we will first add the things that are must have. After that, we would like to move on to introducing other races such as Demi Human and Dragons.

What's a Demi Human?! I'm lovin the Dragon race idea and am envisioning Drake from Albert Odyssey!

Edit: I wouldn't mind that bird race either, but my dream come true would be a moogle race (I know it can't happen) or even a Lala-sized rabbit-type race.

Eugh. I hope they don't mean what I think they mean with real playable races. >_>; I'd be content with just the missing genders. But if it means just NPC characters I hope they are similar to perhaps...Guado? And not some horrifically named, history'd, and modeled after bulky high fantasy bullshit races and MAYBE made playable...I don't think I'd mind.

Not saying they have to be gorgeous, just not hideous like that picture of a cat dude someone posted ages ago from Oblivion or whatever. Disgusting.

I can't find a clear cut def on what they are, but perhaps they mean half human half elf? D: Maybe wishing too hard. oh well. But yaaaay Female Roegs and Highlanders. = w=
