so today, me and my friend did some ifrit hard mode to help him get his weapon.
all is going well until the part after the infernal nails where we all go to ~35% health.

my friend and some other members somehow ran in the same direction together causing them do die in a single swipe right after. then ifrit began chasing me.
as ifrit was chasing me, we all begged the healer to use level 3 limit break.

a few seconds of running around and ifrit caught me. then he went to the healer next.
he was just standing still. he was typing something. he asked us sarcastically why did we all run away from ifrit sticking together, etc. lol this and lol that.
of course, as he was lecturing everyone else, ifrit got to him and killed him too.

you know, if he just used the limit break to fix the mistake, everything could have turned out alright. but he instead mocked everyone that died.


well, after that he argued with us, so everyone left after some back and forth trash talking. embarrassing to say i got caught up and participated in the verbal fight. though i regret that immediately. don't want to be the same as them. but he is just toxic.

got the weapon for my friend on the next run, though. so no worries about not finishing the earlier run.
i just got a little upset about that person's attitude towards others.

why do people do this? what did he gain when he did that to everyone?
i'm sorry, it's just that i'm not used to people like this one. i guess i've been very lucky i reached this stage without meeting these kinds of people until today.

"Please look forward to it" Because your going to find alot more people like him. Best solution, find some more people on your home server to play with.

well, even with all the people saying here that the duty finder has some nasty people using them, i've always thought "nah, i don't think anyone would be that rude." i was wrong.

the only thing i expected from duty finder are undergeared or first timers. it was dumb of me not to expect that kind of people i met today. i guess i had too much faith in every player's attitude.

Because some people get a bigger kick out of being assholes then they do helping others. I remember doing an instance in WoW on my priest. My gear wasn't that great but I fancy myself to be a good healer and nobody died. Because my gear sucked though my mana took a few seconds to recharge between fights. This mage was going on and on about how hard it must be for me to play with downs syndrome and all this crap. Meanwhile ofcourse nobody was dying and we cleared the instance just fine. When all was said this mage did the lowest dps/over all dmg by a LONG shot and was even pretty far behind the tank. He was so interested in being a jackass to me (why I will never understand) that he didn't do his job.

That's endgame for yah. I think it's plausible to say that the majority of players utilizing DF solo are doing so specifically because no one wants to befriend them.

I can understand 8-man content, particularly this early into the games release, being difficult for people to fully do as an FC, but I'm fairly certain that even after a long time, that first statement will stand true.

i hate to say it but he may not have known that the lvl 3 limit break raises everyone...

I was in chimera fight as bard, and i had misplaced the lb on my second bar (long story short, i moved it and forgot to put it back) and my tank was like 'BRD LB BRD LB...'.. And i actually did try to use it (if only to keep the 3 of us that were alive going a little longer) but by the time i got it back on my hotbar and hit it, i was killed. I felt kind of silly when the party told me I could've saved them all, lol.

every dead player on our party just spammed "healer pls lb", he just typed lol, paused for a while, and came up with the sarcastic question i mentioned in the op.
