From level 14-17 i had no quests, just levelled doing leves only is this normal?

Hi guys im having a huge issue atm as im stuck I have a level 17 character, and she has no quests whatsoever and this started from level 14 I would be grateful for any suggestions or advice or even if a GM can take a look at this for me as im currently not playing her in this state until the matter is resolved.

I don't think you're supposed to be able to lvl all the way just via quests, the game seems to be designed so that you really need a mix of leves, instances, fates, Guildhests, hunting log xp and questing to level up even on a first character.

(Which imo is actually a good thing, but then I prefer to be doing a variety of things with group stuff thrown in as well while levelling.)

I didn't touch a single quest on my way to 50. Although every sngle zone I ran fates in i also had TONS of quests I could do. I would venture to guess you aren't in the right zone, and since you haven't been doing quests, you haven't been led to the different zones you should be in

You probably forgot to pick up the next story quest. Look under your journal for the location of your last completed quest and go back to that location to find where you left off.

Plus the main story quest requires you to do 3 instances in a row starting at lvl 15 so I can only assume that the OP hasn't been doing the main story quest if they've had no quests between lvl 14 and 17?

My gladiator is almost 17 and has just completed the airship pass questline, finishing with no other quests in his journal but probably with a few outstanding quests in the various Thanalan zones as well as a bucketful of quests to pick up in the two other city/state areas. So far everything has been solo-based, apart from fates. I've been doing a few guildleves as well along with the hunting log.

The first group dungeon quest is pretty much right after you complete the airship pass bit, so you're have that next I reckon. It's part of the main story quest so continue with what you're doing and you'll reach it - and if you're already lvl 17 you're a bit a head of the curve I reckon as its possible to get to that first dungeon quest at lvl 15.
