Lol, stop calling them tombstones.. they are tomes.. as in books of mythology.. TOMES not Tombstones..
Why is everyone calling them tombstones?

I do runs of castrum, because the music is awesome. OP is QQ because he wants everything handed to him as quickly as possible.
It's going to take me 8 more runs to buy darklight armor, but i just do a few euns a day, and that's cool with me.
because no one cares about the specific way something is spelled
It's like marmite! Love it or hate, it's here.
Everything becomes boring at some point in time. Your definition of "interesting" is temporary and subjective. Just as anything difficult is temporary once you know how to solve it. Do you think the rubik's cube is difficult to solve once you know how to do it properly?
Project deadlines, financial expenses, leeway for problems to occur, potential failure to implement wanted feature (wasted time and money), time dedicated to priority tasks, risk management, etc. Work a day in your life on something that revolves around millions of dollars, and you might understand (just as I have). Then again, most people won't land a job that handles such things worth even a fraction of that. Risk management is a huge factor when it comes to limitations for something new, ESPECIALLY if it's a restart of a failed project. They do not have infinite time nor infinite money. They are a business and must work under professional limitations. No one truly understands things until they deal with it themselves.I like how people defend lack of content by being new. If this is an issue with every game that comes out and results in lots of people leaving why hasn't someone tried to make a game that doesn't follow the same fate. It's not that they can't do it but it will cost more money and time and companies don't want to make that gamble.
Lots of people are not leaving FFXIV, in fact many more will come. Some will leave, but that's expected to happen after free gametime expires.

So instead their intention is re-do the same mind numbing crap over and over and kill pointless mobs?
At least in a lot of other MMO I've played the grinding was challenging and not mind numbing. I thought that all throughout the time we were waiting for 2.0 Yoshida kept saying that the mind numbing crap would be gone. There would be instead hard and challenging fights for gear that couldn't be won within a week.
Well...people on Cactuar non-legacy beat BL last week or so. I know several others who did it too..my FC is about to start it.
Instead we get some really easy instances that we are forced to do over and over if we want to progress. This game atm feels like a hub game. Yeah, I know the game just came out that's fine...but SE were the ones insisting that the end game from the start would be all difficult and what not. Sorry, AK is not hard...at all. The primals are all about memorizing mechanics and having the right gear. Meh...
Also this. Why can't we have a really hard and challenging instance? What ever happened to the so called gambit system? >_<!!
