And the vast majority of characters you'll see in the cities (where everyone congregates) are 85. You are correct that there are more levels in the game, but generally, that's where everyone is. Even then, many players pre-85 do enchant their weapons with lovely tones of radioactive green for your viewing pleasure. I think it's fair to say that glowing weapons 'lost their luster' in wow a hell of a long time ago.I was talking about all the equipment in the game overall, at every level, not just at the level cap. If you look at all the levels as a whole, instead of just focusing on the maximum level, you realize that yes, overall glowing equipment in WoW is really more the exception than the rule.
My reading comprehension is really good, and thanks for the little FFXI auto-translate throwback there, cute. That said, what the hell do fireworks have to do with anything, unless you want your lantern shield to look like a pinwheel? Furthermore, how does the fourth of July fit into it? Are you saying a 1-day a year holiday somehow is relatable to the weapons of a fantasy game? If you'd care to explain, I'd absolutely love to know what you meant by it. I don't think it has anything to do with my grasp of the English language, however.<Reading comprehension.> <Do you have it?>
I was trying to point out that fireworks look cool. Are you saying you hate fireworks?
That wasn't really the point of what he was saying, it was more of a general "Just because it doesn't say it shouldn't be there, doesn't mean it should" type of statement. I'm not sure why you're attacking my comprehension when that was a fairly simple concept. Also, I think saying that the 'application of light' is the same as adding a glowing effect to items is a bit of a stretch. I'd say the enchantment of items to give a glowing effect would be a fairly specific element in the FFXIV universe. There's a huge difference between something as common and versatile as light, and something incredibly specific like a flying hippopotamus wearing a tophat and barfing rainbows. The first has a wide diversification and can be applied in an infinite number of ways to ensure that its in keeping with whatever art style and theme you've chosen for your work, while the second is really not very flexible at all due to how specific it is, and thus only has a very limited application, and wouldn't necessarily fit in with every setting.
True enough, however the art team has not changed (And I'd hope it doesn't, Yoshida's drawings and designs are fantastic! <3 Ivalice from FF12). I'd expect that if it is introduced it falls in line with their idea of how it should be.Except it doesn't matter what the old team said, because they're not in charge of the game anymore, mostly because they made bad decisions. Plus, in case you've forgotten, we've already gotten a response from a community representative saying the current dev team plans to eventually add glowing weapons sometime in the future.
I really can't be bothered to keep re quoting all the time, so if I reply I'll stop doing that. However I do think this still stands:
You're still being overly aggressive and lashing out at people for having differing opinions from you. I've even said I'd like some glow effects in strict moderation, the only reason I'm replying is because of your aggressive approach at trying to beat Gramul's sensible and grounded argument into submission. I'm simply not going to agree with over-use of glow-effects, and your referencing of fireworks in your arguement for whatever reason (Still don't get it) suggests (I think) we're probably just at different ends of the spectrum on it.S/he absolutely doesn't win anything, and if s/he thinks that an overzealous and aggressive way of dealing with others on a subject s/he cares about is going to get the attention of devs, s/he's pretty much lost anyway.
