    Glowing weapons is pretty weak.... it looks tacky everytime... I just want the gear to look badass and unique the higher up in rank you go... I personally like the combo of conquisador's helm and kokoroons mail for lancer looks pretty tight..... I think uniqueness and intricate designs would make the weapons and armoe look a whole lot better.

    As long as they start to put more of Yoshida's art talents to work. The February post of Dark Knight and Black Mage looking armor was great...and even those they use the same models for alot of things, the engine allows for variation on those models, so they actually look like upgraded versions.

    Unfortunately they've just been changing colors and a few small details, instead of actually using the engine to its full potential.

    The lantern shield glows because, for whatever reason, there's a lantern stuck in the shield. Glowing weapons in the context of the game make no sense.     The same logical reason that some one stuck a lantern in a shield, (basically to provide light) is the same reasons people might want a glowing weapon. Glowing weapon could boil down to light sword, to provide light in the dark. There are more logical reasons for weapons with some sort of glowing element, or special effect than not in this games setting. Im not saying every weapon or every high level weapon, but the need, or the reason is already out there.

    We have huge growing crystals in game that harness unknown energies, would it be insane to try to make a weapon using this? We will have materia that can be added to gear, would it be insane that some of it has glowing elements? Is it crazy if i have an armor that through adding a magical glowing crystal to it, reduces my fire damage noticeably, that the centerpiece crystal in the chest armor has a crystal that seems to dance with fire?
    That actually makes perfect sense, and is accurate to the game world and the current technology.

    I get that you hate the look of anything glowing, probably because you associate it with over the top designs, and the people who looked for those things in other games, but that is not a logical reason, and is more a bias of either your own visual preference, or prejudice from previous executions of said effects.

    If you wanted this game to be a more dark ages, low magic/fantasy type game, thats really not what it was billed as. Look at how common place magic is, and the effects already in game. This is just the starter skills, the weak power stuff.

    they are holding back on much equipment partially because they are holding back on level cap increase basically there is probably a decent amount of content finished that we have yet to see

    that is honestly a very strong investment, the more effeciently they can make new content the faster we get it right?

    too bad we dont get to see the returns. Its really easy for us to design stuff now, and we designed a shitload! we re already working on even more new things!
    Too bad since they decided to keep the level cap low, and give us no little new content, we have no access to any of it.
