strange lag issues (they started after today maintenance )

Everything went smooth after the first maintenance, but after the 2nd emergency maintenance (1.30PM - 3.00PM GMT+1) I'm having major lag issues and istances are almost impossible with this lag.

Yeah I tried to kite the tonberries in wanderer's palace but with 5 seconds delay group asked me to leave and I had to, to not hold them back and being an ass, also before someone random comes and cries about our connections: my highest ping in other mmos/games is 30 with 0 delay since last december...no throttling too since I confirmed plenty of times with my isp and ports are open besides 8080 and 443 since the isp is using those.I have direct contacts with my isp for long to explain reasons, so they aren't telling me lies.It's just square fault and my isp too is insisting they fix it up and that's not their issue this time...

same here impossible to do chimera ty whoever broke this

This actually started for me after the first maint. I log in this morning and everything seemed fine but now for the past 15 20 minutes its lagging so bad. Everyone is running then stopping every 10 seconds. Dungeons and chimera are impossible for me to do now. Had to leave my chimera group because it was so bad. Teamspeak, skype, and other games are not laggin at all so its not on my end. Speedtest show me with 27 ping. But, tracerts to ffxiv lobby are having multiple timeouts.

I'm from Germany and suddenly lagging like crazy. To the point where I have 5 second skill delays while crafting. (My ISP is Kabeldeutschland) Never had any issue till after the second emergency maintenance today.

I am having the same issues since the emergency maintenance. The game was extremely fast and responsive before, now it is unplayable especially as healer.

Same issues here, the game is pretty much unplayable. I am not throttled by my provider. Odin (EU)

Same issue. From America on Shiva server. Lag wasn't an issue until the day PRIOR to maint. I'm not sure why, but with the maint it seems to have gotten worse. This is, no doubt, due to the increase in traffic that is now allowed. Still, it makes the game literally unplayable. Here are some examples of things that have been going on due to this:

- Attempted to access the Market Board. Sat there with the indicator on it while continuing to select it would not yield an opening of the market board screen. Finally said "screw it" and canceled the action (wouldn't let me). I then tried to run passed a transition line to see if that would help. Well I literally ran past it. I was on the other side of the line with no possible way to go to the next area. A minute or so later it said "action canceled" and allowed me to run into the line in order to go into the next area (not like I had a choice anyway, there was nowhere to go but that line)

- I randomly die. Well, not so much random as it is an enemy spawns, goes ballistic on me, and I die. This would be normal except for the fact I never see this happen. I see a wide open area, then me dead with some brute standing around me suddenly after I hear a bunch of sound effects. (No doubt the battle that I missed)

- My attacks deal no damage, My cure spells cure no wounds. But the enemy can attack and damage me without worry. This, as you can probably tell, presents a problem.

- FATES are literally impossible. I need not explain why. Death is assured.

- It takes me probably about a good 40 seconds to mount my Chocobo. I see the timer go off to mount it, then I see the action of the whistle. 40 Seconds later I hear the whistle and mount the steed...

- Sprint doesn't go into effect until my "sprinting time" is already almost up (I get about 4 seconds of sprint max). But my hotbar shows the action used (since the timer for the next sprint is winding).

- Dungeons? Ha. Instances? Ha.

- Duty finder, free company info, and just about anything that needs to obtain data continues to do just that. All I see from these screens are "Obtaining Data". I'm not even sure if they will populate the list. I haven't sat there long enough to find out.

- NPC's Take FOREVER to talk to. Accepting/completing a quest literally means me standing there for about 20 seconds before they even talk with the occasional 3 minute standstill (because I can't move while talking to an NPC like that). Even when I am able to talk to them, and they have a new quest, the icon won't populate for a decent amount of time. I have to wait about 2 minutes usually before such an event occurs.

- Everyone else is laggy to me. What is "running" to them is them standing in one spot, teleporting to another, and so on in that fashion.

- Switching Classes will not take effect for several minutes.

- When casting magic spells, I can keep casting but sometimes since they do no damage occasionally for whatever reason, they will consume my MP and not even gain the enemies attention. Then someone else will come in, start attacking that enemy, and it's like I didn't even exist.


Seriously. I want to like this game. In fact, I do. But I will not be paying for something so glitchy. Especially when those "glitches" make the game unplayable. I can't very well do anything like this. I completed 3 quests in the past hour, all very short. It should not have taken this long. Please do something about this. Soon. Or at least say "We know lagginess is an issue and it is important we get it fixed... blah blah blah" because I don't even know your "priority list" for issues in-game are.
