Have anyone used this item?
I just used it for doing Guildleves then zoned and the buff from it disappeared. I was curious if anyone else has had the same thing happen. I didn't see that it is supposed to disappear if you zone.

yeah this shit is BROKEN. you change gear, you loose the buff, you zone, you loose the buff, you join a party, you loose the buff. THERE IS NO FUCKING REASON THIS BUFF SHOULD EVER GO AWAY ONCE YOU USE IT!
Side note, Deep Vigor(and likely the Botany equivalent) is broken too. When SE reduced the number of times you can mine each node the idiots didn't reduce the requirement for this. NOW you have to mine 5 times for this to proc and only get 4 attempts per node.
I'm getting really pissed at SE recently, I am a level 50 pally and a level 36 ARM. I WILL NOT run instances until they fix the repair costs. it costs more to repair my AF gear myself than it does to have a vendor do it.
SE fix your customer service. its the most broken part of the game.
Instead of raging you guys should fill out bug reports on these issues.
In 1.0 the company manual buffs would persist through zoning so this may be a bug. Same for not adjusting the one ability to fall in line with the fact that you can only have 5 maximum gatherers with the Whisperer buffs.

A lot of them aren't bugs, they're just poor design decisions.
DOL classes seem to have been completely gutted with no thought put into it.
King's Yield, a 7 minute cooldown that gets you one additional item.
Or the wards, a 7 minute cooldown for 8 additional shards, but you don't get any exp still.
They really messed up gathering. It's a huge slog now, and the way it works has made it completely no value because you need to gather so much stuff to level that the market is basically flooded with materials.
I have had no problem using these Survival Manuals. I've joined parties, dungeons, switched in and out gear and the buff lasts as long as the duration or until I use all up the extra exp it gives. They only give 20-40K extra exp total, and while doing Botany this is extremely helpful. But I have yet to notice the buff disappearing before I meet the 2 requirements that would actually make the buff disappear normally.
It's not that I forget, it's just that I don't care.
I have no problems using Manuals. Even died and the buff stayed.
As for Deep Vigor. Its easy enough to use on the points that give you a extra attempt. I just figured that's how it works. There is normally always one node that will give you it so I wouldn't say its broken.
Weird. I usually buy one and use it then buy another before I teleport out. I even queue up for dungeons, change classes, do dungeons, come back out and harvest more and I don't lose it. I'd report it because that's a bug. It doesn't happen to me.
just happened to me again.....and I didn't change gear this time, I was afk when it happened. 2 days in a row.... this is so shitty....
Survival Manual I works perfectly fine for me... You should really file that bug report.
I only used SM ll and it worked fine for me. 10 mins after i used it duty finder came up so i switched from miner to blm, joined a dungeon, died a few times, finished the dungeon some 30 mins later and still had the buff. It's probably bugging out at random for some people.
