    SE said speed runs were an unintended function of dungeons. So in their eyes it was something we weren't supposed to be doing in the first place. Does that make killing trash any less of a problem? No, but you all have to realize that's not how they wanted us to play the game. Sure it's annoying to have to kill all the trash, but until they make it more worthwhile, we're just gunna have to deal or quit. I'd rather keep dealing as I like the game too much for this to stop me.

    would be nice if they would have focused on something more important (like auto inventory sort) and saved this for 2.1 (rather than auto inventory sort).

    so let's say you have all mobs drop gil in proportion to the repair cost of your gear used to killing said mob. so when you finish killing n number of mobs the n number of gil gained is equal to the amount to repair the gear. What's the point of having gear repair? If you were going to do that - why not just eliminate gear dmg/repair?

    as if you need an extra incentive to kill so called trash mobs, they are an obstacle to the boss. Disposing the obstacles grants you access to the boss. they would be considered trash if they didn't pose a threat and you could simply walk by them on the way to the boss.

    speed runs, hard mode, etc.
    another way of adding challenges. although i'd prefer if SE just created a harder or shorter time duration instance then what they had before of beating a certain time. That way you can queue up with players with the same goal, and not have once instance with players all trying to do different things.

    i'm really trying to understand the gripe here, do you just want it easy? or do you want every little ounce of effort you put in to be rewarded with gil and items? if yes, then what is the point of playing this game or any game if there are no challenges/obstacles?

    can players accept that there's content beyond their skill level/playing time duration? or must SE create content that must be accessible to all skill levels with play times minimums of 1hour per day?

    Face rollable for you. There's a lot of tanks out there that have a lot of problems on trash, let alone mechanics like dodging bad red stuff. Trash still provides a barrier and a learning incentive to players. Especially the few that rerolled tank and skipped lower level dungeons.

    you cant fix the real issue : people want gear faster than they are expected to get them.
    SE expect you to spend X hour in donjon farming your stuff+ Y hour in other activities to pay repair
    player want to cut X and totally remove Y.

    This is starting to get very tiring, upsetting, and gamebreaking for some of us. I just had to leave a dungeon because some douchebags where insisting in speedrunning through Cutter's Cry (thus making me die if I didn't want to do so)... in a duty finder group. Now I have to deal with the 15 min. lock because some people are that "nice".

    And no, it's not just that I don't like to speedrun, but that I told them that I needed some of the mobs for the GC hunting log (as did two other members of the group, as they were new to that dungeon). Talk about pissing people, right? So it's not that trash mobs don't reward anything, as they were rewarding something in this case and even then every one of them wanted to speedrun it. I know that not everyone is like that and that most of you would really kill them if they gave something, but what I'm saying is that even if trash would give gil or anything else the problem would still persist. Some people want everything NOW, and they don't care about the rest.

    I think the problem stems from the fact that people will be doing these dungeons hundreds, if not thousands of times. There needs to be more incentive to killing the trash. Spirit bonding is something i'm considering since i'm not getting exp/gil killing stuff.

    Just have a reward at the end of a dungeon for clearing all mobs.

    When you enter a dungeon it should pop up in the quest tracker saying 0/45 monsters slain, when you complete this you get a reward screen with a selection of gil or some aetherial gear maybe.

    Personally I feel its fine as it is, but the whiners will whine.
