For me it's about missing excitement. After my 20th keep run... I just don't care about the trash. It's just the same things over and over again. By throwing in some random loot, it breaks up the monotony.

				What is the point of a DUNGEON if you do nothing but fight boss after boss? You might as well just make a tunnel of 3-4 rooms all adjacent and have the bosses waiting there for you to walk through the door. o.O
Trash mobs are filler. If raids and dungeons had nothing but bosses, it would be lame as **** and people would start crying with buzz words like "linear".

What, you're saying there is anything not linear in the game at the moment? I struggle to see any non-linearity. Oh, wait, u have that what lvl30 dungeon (idk what level rly, lowbie dung) that you have 1 forking path, omg, the future is here now!What is the point of a DUNGEON if you do nothing but fight boss after boss? And yeah, if boss fights are designed good, people would perhaps enjoy them. I know I prefer a nice boss fight x100 times that has you engaged in the fight to the kill "mindnumbingly boring easymode trash mobs with 0 benefits or incentives to kill them" x10 times.
So all in all, it's not about entitlement imo, it's about fun.

 
			
			
				Dividing the total loot of a dungeon between mobs and boss would give much more satisfaction than just having to kill mobs in order to get to the boss (therefore making people want to skip them)... Otherwise why would they even be there? If you want to battle just the boss, do a primal fight.

Is that so hard to wrap your brains around? Or do you feel the need to be handed everything and even some extra gil to make the economy worthless?

Heh, the thing that most people aren't realizing is that a lot of these people complaining, are either A. New to gaming completely, or B. former WoW players that are used to easy mode. This is such a naive statement. I love FFXIV, I agree it could use some more content, but let's not kid ourselves...
Dungeons in FFXIV are about the same level of faceroll as ezmode dungeons in WoW. I would put the new speedrun (less than 18 minutes) of AK post-patch as challenging as a gold challenge mode in WoW. Except WoW has like 8 challenge modes for 5man, whereas AK is just one... speedrunning CM and WP are complete 1-tank 1-heal faceroll.
There is FAR less trash in ffxiv than in most of the older raids in WoW, as far as time is concerned. At least that trash had some interesting things that may or may not drop.
Quite frankly the only remotely challenging content for an organized group is turn 5, and that is simply a massive gear and overtuned issue at the moment. I would argue your average heroic boss on WoW, especially in older expansions, is considerably more challenging than anything in FFXIV outside of turn 5, maybe turn 4 and pug HM titan.
FFXIV is an okay difficulty, but could use a lot more challenging content.
