    I'm not at endgame so I'm just going on what people have said here, but if there's a token system, then gear you get from drops should be as good as token gear. the whole point of tokens is so a run isnt a waste if gear for you didn't drop, not so that running a dungeon is always boring grind for tokens so you can move on to harder stuff.

    I really like the system in Secret World. Doing Normal dungeons or just questing will get you good enough stuff to get into Elite Dungeons. Getting drops from Elite will get you just powerful enough to fight the gatekeeper, who is unlocked after completing all Elites, and requires beating to access Nightmare. The gatekeeper is solo and a different fight for tanks, healers, and dps, and introduces the basics of all skills necessary to do NM dungeons for your role. The drops from each NM are good enough to get you to the harder ones, but they also drop tokens which let you buy NM gear which is upgradeable and has customizable stats

    I feel like they are forcing a long grind so people have to play longer and keep up their subs but because the grind isn't interesting, it will do just the opposite. They probably would have been better off designing it from the start as buy to play so they wouldn't have to implement these kinds of mechanics. If people like the game, they WILL spend money on a cash shop, even just cosmetic items. there's plenty of proof in League of Legends, Guild Wars 2, Rift, and The Secret World that this is the case

    Personally, I would have prefer that they make this game hard like FFXI when it came out. But then they have to make it easy due to WoW and people getting spoiled. Otherwise not many people would play a hard game and they won't make money. But yeah, I really hope they do that major upgrade every 3 months because it really would get boring having to do the same dungeon over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ...

    What you call hard most people call boring. WoW has gone sorta welfare on us over the years, but if you want the best gear you still have to do heroic raids, and they dont just die because you want them to. Sadly, however, raid finder gear (aside from color) still looks the same as normal and heroic gear, which sorta makes the accomplishment feel a lot... less.

    But here's the thing... 2-3 months is too far off. Its already boring from running the same dungeon over and over and over and over... and because now we cant speed run it, running them over and over and over also will take loads of time.

    We should want to play the game for an extended period of time because its a fun distraction, not because dumping time in to it is the only way to get anything.

    lol, nice use of over and over and over and over...
    Currently what I find boring in this game is having to craft ALC to get item for my relic wpn. Never been a fun of crafting and sadly no one is selling in market. But yeah, having to run same dungeon over and over and over is boring whether it is with speed run or not.

    I actually like crafting in this game, but its also a huge grind. The system tho is fun. IMO. But ya, the speed runs werent exactly 'fun', but they were bearable. Running AK and having it take the better part of an hour is something I just wont do. Especially when I have another 45+ runs to go before I can get all my gear (for 1 job... well 2 i guess if I level Warrior).

    Hopefully someone who can make the game fun again will read this post, because if they fix this blunder I wouldnt mind coming back.. but as of this patch, Ive logged out for the last time.

    You are leaving, for real? The only game I had rage quit is SWTOR, after 1 month, after they changed the pvp bracket so that only level 50 can pvp with other level 50. The problem is well the ones on my server are slow at leveling. There's only 3 level 50 in republic and 25 in Empire. It requires at least 6 people to make a pvp game. I quit. But then I have not played mmo for more than a month because they sucks or it just me. I like the old MMOs where it takes forever to level and it feels like an achievement. To date, the only MMO that I have played for longer than 1 month are FFXI, WoW, Atlantica Online, DCUO, don't remember the rest probably because it's not note worthy. I have played AoC, Warhammer Online, Tera online, Secret World, Swtor, I don't remember the rest. But I think I will stick around for this game since I have not had a chance to do Bahamut yet. After that, I don't know. I hate repetitions as in crafting and doing same dungeon over and over.

    The only people this hurts is the casual DF user. My static 4 man was waiting 25-30 minutes for the dungeon and clearing in 15.

    We actually will gain time not having to wait as long in queue.

    Well, now that a bunch of people have had speed runs for gear, this clearly slams the progress door shut behind them, putting a huge wall of time investment for others to catch up.

    Secondly, only having one viable instance ot run is terrible.

    Lastly, doing HM raids give pitiful stones... they should give more... and they should up the stones given on the instance- now that it takes forever.

    Speed running was boring and repetitive... now it's just worse. A HM version of previous dungeons was a good idea to diversify. I don't expect a fully fleshed out end game this early... but one instance to repeat ad nauseum is pathetic.

    Im not against having to kill trash at all... the issue i truly have is that the trash is worthless... for instance in Amdapor they drop 1 or 2 gil... Thats a joke of a drop. They give no xp, no potential loot drops, no money all around the trash is 100% worthless. It was great to be able to skip them but now we have to WASTE 30 minutes on nothing.
