Change the Macro Icon too!

When writing a macro up:

/micon "Physick"
/ac Physick <mo>

The macro icon only changes once you place it onto the action bar. It should also change the macro icon in the 100 slots given to us listing.

Note on this: Before I just found out the command of /micron "Physick", I was using a generic preset picture. I have reset the generic picture back to the big Grey icon with the "M" and the problem persists.

I want to see my "Physick" icon on that macro in the macro listing.

I'm not sure if your "Physick" icon is under the listed icons you can choose from if you simply left-click the Macro box to the left of the "Name" box when writing your macro, if you're on a PS3 I'd imagine you'd have to press some kind of edit key or "X" then arrow Left/Right until you can select the default icon box at the same position. If the icon isn't there at least you can give it a random icon just so that you're not looking at the same gray box with the M on it and as long as you have the (/micon "Physick") command in your macro it will so that icon regardless of what tooltip you have in the Macro list.

None of the arcanist/sch/smn icons are available presently in the macro window it seems.

That's unfortunate, but in the mean time should still be able to use other icons to display while only looking at them from the User Macro list. Might be a little confusing if you're trying to relate to each one from their respective tooltips but it has to be a little better than to see a gray box with an M on it (again be sure to still add the /macro "tooltipname" line in the macro command).

First off, I'm confused. Why is everybody saying /micon ? It doesn't work, at least not for me. /macroicon is what works when I do it.

I'd like the tooltip window to be displayed when you hover over a macro if you use /macroicon, not just the cooldown and mp cost.

Second off, I believe we were trying to help the OP's problem of getting rid of the stale icon with the M being displayed while in the "User Macro" window, not the tooltip of the action on the hotbar. Which doesn't seem to be the case since the limited number of preset icon choices eliminates ACN moves and most likely a few SMN and SCH too though I haven't checked.

Thirdly, /macroicon "ability name" and /micon "ability name" work exactly the same for me, neither one show's the tooltip help on mouse over and I'm sure it just may simply not have been implemented yet. As for my I only care to see the GCD as well as the proc from other abilities and/or combos. I don't feel the need to have it as I know what the icon's tooltip does already but I suppose with would be nice to hover over it as a reminder for job/class swapping without having to pull up the ability list.

/macroicon "Basic Synthesis"

Then drag it to the hotbar. Icon Doesn't Change. Any Ideas?
