In-game macros are too slow

Has anyone else had the issue where in-game macros won't let you set waits low enough to activate skills and abilities in chains as fast as you could activate them if you were to just activate them manually one-by-one? Seems pretty gimpy to me. Some macros i've taken to making G-Keys for instead because speed is key.

Weaponskill macros I cant even get to account for my skill speed modifications. I should be able to use a weaponskill every 2.4 seconds, but trying to do a wait 2.4 will make it wait 2 instead, and only 2.5 will get recognized.

It doesn't help that the time between when you can use an ability after a weaponskill seems based on some kind of random server response delay. 1 second is often too short, and only 1.5 is viable and even that doesn't always work.
