I think its funny how this game has only been out a couple weeks and people are complaining about "end game". Maybe if you had something else to do with your time while SE develops more content for a game that just came out you would be more happy. Give it time, shit. With all the complaints people have and all the work they are doing to fix it then having people complain that they want more that just seems a little unfair. Unfortunately everyone's mentality is "I paid for it so I should get EVERYTHING I WANT RIGHT NOW OR THIS GAME IS STUPID". Grow up please. I do agree that farming ONLY AK is pretty shitty and they should have at leased put a few other dungeons on release, but you're still playing so the game obviously is doing something right. I love this game while you're farming just take some time to do other stuff, help out some noobs, craft a few items, hang out with the FC. Just give it time.

Calling FFXIV a ridiculous grindfest is pretttty laughable. Compared to FFXI it's pretty tame, and compared to games like Lineage and Ragnarok Online it's babytown frolicks. Games where it took LITERALLY A YEAR to reach max level.

Hell, WoW was grindier than FFXIV is.

In my opinion.. you probably just turned this game into the most ridiculous grind fest I have ever seen.

First.. you gotta run Amdapor 8 times in a week to cap your mythology.. that's 6-8 hours if you don't run premade and taking into account silly wipes to these bosses.

Not only that but there's literally no incentive STILL to kill these mobs. I just killed three and they gave me.. 1 gil.

Why did you guys create this game to just grind tomes of myth(From one dungeon might I add.) Plus nothing really drops no decent gear whatsoever. Nothing that really goes "DANG DID THAT JUST DROP?" "How'd you get that item? That's insane!"

It's rinse and repeat.. I rather grind out how to beat a boss that drops an amazing item then have a predetermined item after grinding tomes for hours.

Even GW2 where fanboys always proclaimed there's no grinding has grinding in it. I do feel you though that they need to add more dungeons that rewards it.

I'm a huge GW2 fan and GW2 is one of the MMOs with the most grinding content I've seen.

The thing is, there's supposed to be a 24-man raid (Crystal Tower) in between this content and Coil. Once it is added to the game, your perception of the grind / gear progression will change quite a lot.
