    Tbh, It feels like farming Dynamis in FFXI for currency... but in Dynamis you could at least see some relic armor drop.

    I didn't like the idea of Speedruns but I also don't like the idea of mindless grinding without any other reward than the stones.
    I hope some variety will be implemented soon, otherwise it will get boring very quick.

    And for all the people who say that farming for relic after the game has been out for 2 weeks is rushing... how slow do you play?!
    I am quite casual, I have full time work, pets, a partner and friends, so I really get to play only couple of hours here and there... yet even I am 50 already and working on my relic.
    This game doesn't take a hard core player to get to the end content...

    I'm noticing a trend here.

    If anyone disagrees with the OP, they're immediately labeled as some kind of casual. If people agree with the OP, they're typically coming off as a butthurt elitist.

    The Kagato Solution: QUITCHERCRYIN! Be privileged this isn't like Pre-Abyssea FFXI where reaching level 75 took over a month and getting a relic weapon took 2 years and nearly 100,000,000gil. And no. That is NOT an exaggerated number. And we had to do all this with gear that was farmed and hunted for weeks just so we can be strong enough to get the better gear required to even attempt anything in the prime of the endgame... and we had to do all of this barefoot in the snow! If anyone's a bad casual here, it's the angry "elite" who are complaining about how long it's taking to get some content finished.

    Damn kids and their music... NOW WHERE'S MY APPLESAUCE!?

    I've done speed runs mostly because killing trash is nothing more than a waste of time, if perhaps they dropped random items/gil or equipment (which isn't vendor trash) and vendor trash people may be more inclined to actually kill them. With there being a timer set on dungeons speed runs actually allowed for learning of bosses and boss mechanics, removing the ability to do speed runs for some groups actually removes attempts on bosses and leads to not completing the dungeon.

    I've been in both 50 dungeons where when I was learning the dungeon and bosses I killed all the trash, doing so lead me to never complete the dungeon as I spent more time on trash than I did bosses. When I started doing only bosses and no trash I completed the dungeon every time, simple solution is to make the trash worth while to kill and also a reduction in difficulty to allow new visitors the chance to actually learn bosses before the timer ends.

    As it stands now with worthless trash being required to kill players must now have to watch boss videos before going in or pray that their whole group has done it before and kills the bosses in 1-4 attempts. I even had someone tell me to watch a video because he wouldn't explain to our group how to do Wanderer's Palace as it took to much time, that just doesn't seem right.

    Reading this thread, I've seen an assumption that's been thrown around way too frequently and it really grinds my gears:

    Not everyone rushed to lv50 upon release. There's something called Legacy players, and we were lv50 beforehand. Just letting you all know we still god damn exist.
