Remove auto-logout feature

There are still queues to log in the my server, so yes auto log out is necessary and welcome!

I agree with above poster, I love seeing less crowded zones so I can actually enjoy the view without hundreds of AFK characters.

My God, you have to actually tab back into the game every 25 minutes??? THE TRAGEDY OF IT ALL! Seriously. These are some of the most ridiculous reasons I've ever heard for not wanting a feature that is standard for nearly every MMO out there these days. Get an egg timer to remind you to tab in again if you're really can't remember to do it on your own. They only cost a few dollars. Or, if you have a smart phone... hey, those have timers!

Remember, too, that DD copies will be up for purchase again soon, so there will probably be an influx of new players to some degree or another.

I still can't believe people are actually complaining about having something that keeps players from clogging up the servers for no reason.

Pretty darn sure this feature will be pointless once the billing cycle starts... and why I personally hate it is because I miss out on /tells while I'm away from the PC.

Why are you all crying? There's no need for you to park your fat asses in the middle of a town and go afk anymore. We don't have personal Bazaar's like in FFXI, and there's no reason for you to be AFK and taking up server space while someone else would like to play. I'm not saying this is the case on every world/realm but really... you all are crying about it now that it's been implemented, but didn't bother to petition against it beforehand...


Stop the senseless bickering and start realizing that you guys are just as entitled as the rest of this younger generation. WE DONT WANT IT TAKE IT OUT... Tough cookies sugartits... doesn't work that way.

They put it in, and I'm quite friggin happy with it, as it reduces server congestion, stress, and idiocy. If you want to afk forever and a decade, go back to FFXI where it at least had a purpose. Not having a bazaar literally means you have no reason to AFK for hours on end while some other people could be trying to get on.

30 minutes is stupidly short. I often tab out when I'm using the duty finder and watch something or cruise the net till I hear the sound effect. Having to stop every 25 minutes just to make sure I don't get logged is going to be annoying, assuming I remember.

Additionally I like to catch up on what has been said recently when I get back to the game.

Perhaps they should implement a warning chime for those who are just afk but not far due to long dungeon duty finding.

Lol. I'm hoping the people in favor of removing afk timers are joking. My 5 year old niece comes up with better excuses on why she shouldn't go to bed. We should have 1 hr queue so your character can sit there and enjoy the view while you're at work. Just.. relog..?

It needs to be longer than what it is, 15 min is too little. Although in 2 days, I do not think getting in will be a problem and it is not a problem right now, I just find 15 min inconvenient because if I alt-tab to take a test, eat or something I will get kicked out by it, but again it is not like it is hard to get in anymore, so no real big deal.

not everyone wanted the afk timer only the ppl that cryed for it wanted it, most of us wanted it to be an option on the system menu. its stupid to have afk timer if you gonna expand the Data centers. All the ppl that cryed for it better stay when sub starts.
The only reason thoes ppl cryed for it was because they couldnt just wait a few days for a Data centers to be expanded.

This is an implementation that nearly all MMO's follow and yes it may have been more than overdue but it is still needed,not just for afk players but this should help with spammers too, as constant spamming is very annoying. @ op get over it, if ur afk for 30 minutes then ur not playing when someone else could be...get over it.
