Or make it so the DF prevents the timer ticking down, that'd be acceptable (Although I'd prefer a flat 2 hours). If you don't respond to the queue you get kicked from the DF anyway, so if the 30 mins started then you'd be booted afterwards. Which would be fine: you missed the queue because you didn't hear the sound (Were not at your PC at all) rather than because you were distracted by that interesting forum post and got booted while you read all 15 pages.

Like someone else said though, AFKing in interesting places makes the world seem so much more lively, and now the servers are actually stable, the timer isn't really worth it.
Seriously, first world issue, because you can just log back in. WTF is your problem? I mean honestly, if you're not playing the game, then you're not playing the game, so log out. /rant
