just..... log back in?
just..... log back in?
The same reason people go to facebook and twitter i'd like to know what i missed out on, plans for the day, who got what level last night, fun stories!, jokes, horror stories of pugs. but also if im paying for the service shouldn't i be able to use it if im not there? if this were the same way with your internet you would be kinda pissed lol "ohh i see you havnt moved your mouse in 30 minutes, you have to relog onto your ISP now"
What's the point in being kicked off if we can just log back in anyway?
We have no server issues now, so being kicked off to "let more people play" is pointless.
An AFK timer now is just an inconvenience.
I just hope that they let it be optional like FFXI had it, so people who are Pro-AFK Timers can be happy and enable it.
This game does need the auto-boot feature, especially since when they resume game sales we're going to see another rush and then another rush for PS4 release. The problem may seem completely fixed for now, but people who are complaining are failing to take into account that we probably have two more huge waves of players that will be flowing into the game in the coming months.
The only legitimate complaint I see about it is for those in duty finder queues. Perhaps they could add a stipulation to the code so it doesn't kick people who are in duty finder queues? For now, I'd just suggest playing the game while in a duty finder queue. Go farm some mobs you need for crafting, get in a random FATE or two. Maybe just set a little alarm to go off every 28 mins so you can tab back in, poke a button, and then tab back out?
If they do decide to make it a temporary measure, then perhaps they could add the option to turn it off after the final rush from the PS4 sales has run its course.

WoW has it, ToR has it, EQ2 has it too I think.... which MMOs don't have it?
I've seen a lot of people make the counter argument that most MMOs don't have it, while from my experience on the games I have played, most do. Perhaps this is just a matter of which games people have played?
Regardless of how you feel about the feature, it is pretty widely used and 30 mins is a pretty lenient log out timer, most MMOs who have this feature use a 15 min timer.
FFXI only had the option to disable it because of the personal bazaar feature.

definitely should be removed, it would have made sense two weeks ago but is no longer needed. Even more so when they start charging and the player base decreases. It came far to late to solve the problem it could have helped with. Besides its easy to defeat.
he must mean Free to play games were the user base has such a low count its not needed No ones with such a big player base
After seen his 2nd replay all i can say is it was Early 90s lots of people never heard or seen any off these games they had such low user base.

What's the problem? You get nothing from AFKing. You aren't selling something or waiting people to repair your gears like 1.0.
Just click Start and select your char to login again when you want to continue playing. not that hard.
