This day and age? What exactly do you mean by this. Every MMO that I have played so far has an auto kick feature for being AFK. I am perfectly fine with this auto kick feature and in fact it should have already been in the game at launch. Having an infinite connection to the game servers, especially when their capacity is quite limited, is just plain silly.
