Almost all the server congestion issues were because ppl never logged out, EVER. This is a desperately needed feature at least until they get the servers stable. And almost all mmos have a auto logout feature to kick afk players.

So you are saying that idle players were responsible for the duty servers being so massively overwhelmed at launch? I suppose the 30+ minute AK queues we saw pre maint were the fault of AFKers as well? Stop being a sheep and think about what was actually going wrong for a moment =(
WoW had an auto logout to ensure client requirements were kept as low as possible (At launch the only real requirement was 1gb of ram, beyond that it'd run comfortably on near enough anything with hardware transform and light). Free to play MMOs have auto logouts because they don't raise revenue from inactive players. FFXIV has neither low requirements, nor is it F2P.
