Remove auto-logout feature

Come ON ! People complained there is no Auto-kick feature so SE added it to please those users. Now others are blaming SE that there is auto kick ?

Blame the people who complained, not SE. SE does what majority wants to. (No one can tell they don't listen to players).

The tool is used to address AFKing, not Q's the Q's being less is a side effect of this feature. Which is common in any large scale MMO for a multitude of reasons. the only opposition to this tool would be a persons want to AFK, in other words the only opposing voice to this feature would be the people it effects. there is no good reason to remove the system. you will find none listed in these forums... at most you can see people saying its "no longer needed" or "too short". the tool is needed as long as there is an AFK'd character. It is here to stay and the 30min limit is rather generous considering it takes seconds to log back in.

Seriously, why should the game let you sit there doing nothing and sucking up system resources. Every MMO I have ever played has a afk timer... Rift, WOW, EQ 1 and 2, LOTR, SWTOR, UO, Conan, AO, Eve... etc...

I don't think that people should be attacking individuals for their opinions either(although, no hypocrisy here, I've done it in the past). In my opinion there are far less cons to the AFK kick than pros. I'm not going to list them yet again, because there are 14 pages dedicated to the back and forth, but if you are going to defend either side, please back it up. That said, sorry to the people who are kicking and screaming at the AFK booter, but you'll have to work a lot harder to convince me that it is an inconvenience to click 3 buttons to log back in when you have been gone for over half an hour.

It doesn't auto-kick you for just typing on chat, from what I understand. It auto-kicks for you "not being there at all." I apologize if this is not correct, but even then, one arrow up every 30 minutes doesn't sound like a hassle. Don't act like someone pooped in your Easter basket if no one actually did.

Being against the auto kick is 100% selfish, cant deny that. It is placing your desires, not even your needs, above what is good for the general population.
Even without server load implications, the game is unquestionably better off with an auto kick. You personally may not be, but if it means less times where a duty finder formation times out because of an afk dps the majority benefits.

It's selfish? I think facebook has warped your brain, You shouldn't care what i'm doing. The world would be a far better place if everyone just worried about them and stopped getting up in other peoples business. It's selfish of you to judge me and falls on a self-entitled social ideology to think you have the right to judge how someone should play a game.
