Remove auto-logout feature

I wouldn't mind this auto log out feature if you could actually log back in .... It can take hours to get back on which can eat up your entire play time.

Also, did any of you defending this auto log out notice SE designed the zones with AFK areas including benches, chairs, and tables. And this feature makes sanctuaries pointless. They intended us to be able to log in and stay logged in. I am really hoping they remove the auto kick feature when they get the servers stable. FFXI worked just fine with hundreds of afk bazaars set up in towns all day and night. I never logged my main character out unless there was maintenance. Lets hope for that kind of stability.

Not sure why your server having such an issue with getting back on. I will admit I was one of the guilty who stayed logged in during the major server issues. Since the big upgrade I have not had very many issues with getting back on once booted from being AFK. Yes I get put into a que at times but even then it's only for a few minutes not hours, and yes this is during peak time. I am on one of those crammed servers and since update and patches I can't complain (not like pre fixes).

I don't think anyone is still having to fight the server for hours to get back in, the server expansions + the auto kick timer kind of fixed that problem. Digital sales are about to go back live, so we can expect a new influx of users in the very near future, so this feature is still needed. Also, since it sounds like you don't know this, sanctuaries give you your XP bonus when logged out there too.

I don't understand why anyone has issues with a 30 minute auto log out. If you're afk....why do you need to be logged in? Unless of course you're a gold spammer with some spam macro you want to get paid for spamming....I really can't think of ANY other reason that it makes sense.

Talking to people...well then you're not AFK. Looking through logs.....well, that's not idle afk either....

I don't get it. "don't kick me out..I'll have to click three buttons to get back in when I return in 4 hours".....WHA?

That goes both ways. There's no reason to have an afk kick anymore either.

It was a permanent solution to a temporary problem. That's the problem.
