Remove auto-logout feature

It made sense not to have one for Final Fantasy XI where bazaars became important. Bazaars don't exist in 14. GW2, WOW, and SWTOR have auto-kick, so it's well precedented.

I don't see the issue. It is extremely easy to log back in. If you aren't around to press a key every 25 minutes, then you aren't around to accept a duty finder invite, either, so I don't think that's a good justification.

BUT BUT BUT.... My Immersion!!! How can I be immersed if I have wireless headphones and I want to sit on my couch and close my eyes and listen to the sounds of the game as I sit comfortably and pretend I'm actually there and talk to myself as if there are others around me but then be logged out after 30 minutes? Only made sense for FFXI not to have it is that there are few players logged in. Yesterday, I logged in and there were about 800 players logged in during NA prime time and 1,600 during JP prime time.

When its something I want, I say I would like X, but I do not rage complain or try to justify it outside of my own personal want. I do like to defend stuff though, I support others all the time. Wanna know why I called you entitled? because when I look at both sides this is what i see

Reason for AFK Kicker:
Allow more Logins
'Save Resources
Fix error where player DC's but still gets stuck as "Connected"
Prevent excessive AFKing.

Reason not to have it:
Q for dungeons and walk away
engage in other activities leaving player AFK.

When I compared what it brings to what not having it brings... it becomes pretty apparent that outside of personal want there is no reason for the AFK kicker to be removed. so when I hear people say its not needed or should be removed. that's beyond saying i don't like it. that's essentially demanding its removal. Whether intentional or the poor choice of vocabulary. ones personal opinion is valid, but ones demands are not. So yes, Entitled and bratty.

If you can give me 5 good reasons then it's cool.

But if you can't give any good reason as to why it's not needed then GTFO.

Why are people even complaining about this, SWTOR has it, WoW, has one, almost every MMO out there has one for reasons of "server cap" issues. With this in, you can now at least go to bed without leaving your computer on, worrying that it will catch on fire

True that. Since FFXIV has really good graphics that can cause my graphics card overheated easily. XD

Edit: However, you can still Alt-tab the game to reduce the graphics card's working.
