Why should he? When none of you really go into detail. I asked which MMOs do not have afk kickers, no one answered. Know why? Because the amount that have them are so few it's embarrassing to your argument. The best reason you guys have for not liking it is because you're selfish and want the ability to walk away from the game for however long you wish. I'd love to see the auto-logout feature removed or at least made optional as it was in XI. I'll miss seeing people camped out in creative places. Saw someone sitting in one of the hanging flower baskets last night and had a good laugh at that. Seen a lot of people camping out at high points, on rooftops, sitting with NPCs, etc. Won't have nearly as much of that now, and it's a shame.

Maybe this afk-timer means they are re opening digital sales soon and expect lots of new players on the current worlds???...hell I alone have several friends & co-workers who want to buy the game as soon as digital sales are back up.

The auto log out is ok but 30 mins is too short imo. The point is to kick those afk while asleep or at work. Either it should be removed in a month or two when things settle down, or the idle time changed to 60-120 minutes, preferably the latter (2 hours). This would certainly accomplish whatis needed.

If your idle for 30 minutes it sounds like you have other things to do. If you afk out you simply log back in after your done doing whatever it was your were doing. Not really sure what the problem is here. I mean you do have half an hour to tap a key if afking out really ruins your day.
