They can't get past the need to "be the best" full on knowing that "the best" doesn't always work for party teamwork. Sure you pull big damage or healing, if that prevents the tank from tanking, that isn't teamwork. True teamwork is being "the best" but working as a team using any skills you have. Aka there is no I in team.

This system was suppose to fix the biggest flaws in ffxi, and that is the long waits for parties, the limited jobs being favored, and the cookie cutting concepts that allow this to occure.

Why spend hours looking for a "paladin" when you can ask a person to tank? I like this system if people used it as intented. Personaly speaking since balancing my stats and using cross class skills I do more then "spaming 1". I use fire and cure along with my stab and slash. And kill things pretty quickly and have fun doing so.
I like how now you play and get to rank eight and everyone is misunderstanding the system. Also, you don't seem to really read any of the points other people are trying to make. When I read your posts in relation to what I or others have discussed, in some ways we want the same thing. Maybe it's a failure in reading comprehension on your part or you're just not quite there yet in understanding anything to do with the system yet as much as you think you do.

Excuse me for saying this because I know it's kind of crude, but it's fitting. The class system paired with the attribute system right now is like the special olympics. This is what you're after. Everyone is a winner and anyone can be anything or do anything.

Unfortunately, this is not a good system. There needs to be choices. If someone aspires to be a dedicated tank they should have a noticeable difference in performance opposed to someone who wants to be a jack-of-all-trades type. This is not an extreme point of view this is actually very practical because it promotes uniqueness and and choice in the player's choice of style.

There are terms thrown around that most of you either A) Have not the capacity in using correctly I.E. Min/Max, Hard caps, soft caps, ect or B) Think what is ultimately a great or poor system having to do with these terms is a system that is Black and White and incredibly dull. Guess what? This system already has these forsaken terms implemented with the current system thus making your argument incredible and proving everyone's point that you are new and you don't know how the system really works.

Just have job specializations where you can only get certain (important) abilities if you focus on said job, with limitations on how many jobs you can specialize in. Problem solved.

stat point alotment isnt bad at all, if we were able to save our stats per class and still be able to change them every half hour per class (idk, incase we decide to add some extra vit>str for this leve etc..) then it would work fantastic i think.

and incentive to choosing different races that are better per class? thats specifically something both the average player doesnt want and the developers spoke out against.
i personally hope they keep it, just make it way better SE

1)Removal of the bonus point system, and the addition of automatic allotment of attribute points based on class.

2)Removal of physical levels, and the addition of class-specific allotment of attribute points for each class based on rank.

    8. Would you prefer option 1, option 2, or the current system?

If they do follow the poll then we will have class specific point allotments which is cool in my book. It still allows customization and uniqueness and keeps races a choice(instead of creating racism like XI..lolGalka mage etc).
