Why not try the Legacy Camera Mode?

If you're having trouble with movement or AoEs, did you know that the Legacy camera mode might make your life just a tiny bit easier?

Yes, I know it sometimes causes seasickness to have the camera sway all over the place when you're running. It's also possible, with a little forethought and finesse, to have equivalent dodging ability with the Standard camera (All you need to do is be used to a little QE strafing).

Basically, when you're in the standard camera mode, you have a 180 degree field of unhindered movement. The problem occurs when you need to dodge quickly in the other 180 degrees behind you. The instant you hit the S key, your character paces backwards at about half the speed that you normally move, which is quite frankly terrible for dodging AoEs, so the proper method is usually to rotate the camera fractionally with the RMB and hit Q or E to backtrack at full speed. Now this can be a bit annoying because you can occasionally lose sight of the boss entirely or you can be running slightly angled so that you are not actually taking the most direct route out of the AoE.

In the legacy camera mode, hitting S does not make you pace backwards. Instead, your character turns instantly and runs backwards at full speed. This enables full dodging in any direction at any time with no camera adjustments at all. Even if it shaves only a millisecond or so off your reaction time, I find it helps dodging ability noticeably, while letting me keep up a dps rotation on the boss.

Of course, it could just be a personal preference thing, but why not give it a shot? I see way too many tanks trying to pace backwards out of an AoE as it is.
