I hope you do realize that that error code can come from a variety of root issues.
Like your computer, your router, your isp, any place between your isp and SE's isp, as well as SE.
Your post lacks all kinds of information, so there's nothing anyone can do to figure out if your problem is caused by SE's servers disconnecting you or something else.
I don't have that problem neither does i think all population on my server so maybe but just maybe it is a problem on your side and not SE side.
So the other "err 90000" DC posts are not indicative of a problem then ? this is the only game ever that has had this issue for me, I can tell the error is coming because I tracked the times for 6 hours straight one day and posted the timing; not even a cursory query from tech support.
I do play MMOs regularly as my entertainment so the absence of DCs from there seem to indicate no issues on my side.
It is nice you don't seem to have any issues, but your reply seems a tad sycophantic to me...
while I do agree with you on the lack of info, but at this point even with all kind of detailed info one can post here, yields NO help from SE, look at those hundreds of posts with people from all over the globe that has access to ARR, all having the 90k issue with all kinds of different ISP as well as VPNs, and many have had this since release, and all the tickets on the support people issued, were directed here, yet there is not ONE WORD from SE about this matter, I got this feeling that they wont do anything till the free trial is over and decide what they want to do with their servers depending on the actual sub numbers.
The only way I can get error 90000,constantly, is by reaching around the back of the PC and unplugging the ethernet cable. Error 90000 after exactly 30 seconds. I otherwise never see it, and this is the only game that ties up one CPU core. Aion by comparison ties up half a CPU core. If I select "Maximum settings" in graphics, the CPU usage goes up to 25%. In a crowded area. If I turn every setting off... it goes up to 30%.
(This is on a hyperthreaded quadcore, so 30% = 2 physical cores or so.)
I can only make it drop to 12.5% if I lock the frame rate to 30fps. Changing the screen resolution or any of the other settings has no bearing on the CPU. So as CPU heavy as the game is, it's certainly incapable of using more than 2 cores, and most of the time only uses one. That is likely in keeping with how the PS3 version works, since the PS3 only has one core, and 8 special purpose-not-quite-a-CPU parts. Why make it more complicated. If and when we get a DX11 version (and hopefully 64bit, did you know Aion is 64bit and uses more than 4GB of ram? FFXIV is 32bit and peaks around 1.5GB) that should allow the game to load and keep more assets in memory, and drive down latency caused by loading. There is way too much loading time in this game.
Back to the topic itself though, compared to V1 launch, this is a drop in the bucket. The V1 launch, SE completely ignored beta tester feedback, launched a copy-paste scenery that made the game look rushed, and had lots of places to wander into and die in one hit. It had the hallmarks of being rushed, or outsourced. V2 the game actually works at launch despite some launch issues, and the people complaining the loudest seem to mostly be people with high-end rigs that.... I don't know... maybe they're too fast for the game and it overloads their network.
Anyhow. People aren't using the search button. 90000 error problem is specificly network related, mostly on the end-user's end. If players are not willing to plug their PC directly into the cable modem and check of the problem persists there, then they are going to have to suck it up and suffer.
This is not a "set bugs=false" flag somewhere for SE.
lol really? I think you need to use search button yourself first, the ones having 90k issue have tried EVERYTHING, plugging PC directly into the modem included, it is NOT end user issue, please read all the posts people are saying on their issue and workarounds they have tried before you make post like this.
Just because you do not have such issue doesn't mean it's user error lol
Because I don't have the issue, means that it is -NOT- happening to everyone, and if you used the search button you'd see that I've responded to most of these threads already.
There is no one solution, and the entire 90k error thing stinks of nobody wanting to actually investigate a problem and assumes some other party is at fault.
How many people are posting data from the Final Fantasy XVI System Information page? Few. How many are having problems and simply not even coming to these forums, but are instead complaining on Reddit or various FFXI/FFXIV fan forums? Or even the people writing the bots forums.
Here, for giggles, here's my system, it almost never crashes, and never disconnects (90000), I say almost, because the crashes went down after switching to current AMD Radeon drivers.
Notice a complete lack of Networking data? If their own tool isn't showing it, I doubt SE sees any pattern.Code:SYSTEM_OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130801-1533) SYSTEM_CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz SYSTEM_CORE_NUM SYSTEM_CORE_LOGIC 8 SYSTEM_CORE_PHYSICS 4 SYSTEM_BIOS BIOS Date: 07/03/13 20:48:49 Ver: 04.06.05 SYSTEM_LANGUAGE English (Regional Setting: English) SYSTEM_MEMORY 32630.383MB SYSTEM_VIRTUAL_MEMORY 2047.875MB SYSTEM_PAGE_FILE 65258.949MB SYSTEM_DIRECTX_VERSION DirectX 11 SYSTEM_GRAPHICS AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series SYSTEM_GRAPHICS_DEVICE \\.\DISPLAY1 SYSTEM_GRAPHICS_CHIP AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x683D) SYSTEM_GRAPHICS_MAKER Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Right it does not happen to everyone, yet more and more people are getting this every time they do a server maintenance, and I know there is no solution yet, so how can people not having this starting to have them AFTER the maintenance?? and they have not changed ANYTHING on their end so explain to me on that one, and I dunno where you get this people complaining on fan sites instead of come in here and post info, there are plenty of people came here seeking answer with zero result, so they go to fan sites with hope of finding them.
the system tool that came with the game is to help with hardware issues, you are insisting on this has something to do with user hardware and their network settings, well it is not. You said it yourself, it lacks the info on network settings with that tool, so how much help do you really think posting that system info is gonna get?? and my system doesn't crash either, 90k is not game crash, most people with this issue have NO problem with other mmos only ARR, I have read all your posts on other threads regarding to the 90k issue, please stop telling people it's their network setting /hardware driver issue. mind you this issue effect both PC AND PS3 users.
I know you are trying to help, but like you said you have no such issue, people have this have tried everything SE tech support and their own ISP said to do, even the ISP techs went to people's home and checked out everything, if you actually read all the resmon, ping and tracert info people are posting you will see it is clearly some routing problem on a couple of the ISP that is routing people's data to SE's data center in Montreal, it's that "request time out" that is causing the 90k, untill SE go talk to those company 90k is here to stay and will have increasing number of players getting it overtime.
