Graphical issues with zones.

So throughout my time with FFXIV (since launch) I've had a problem while out in any non-city zone where my graphics, for lack of a better term, freak out. By which I mean everything in the game displays but with the wrong color or graphic. Textures turn blue, green or purple generally, icons still exist but use the wrong graphic and text is blurry beyond reading. This is easily fixed by logging out and back in.

This usually only happened once in a while but since 1.17a it has started happening more frequently. I've done 4 gathering leves at Bloodshore since the patch. 3 of those 4 times I have had this issue trigger, once immediately after starting the leve. The 1 time I did finish the leve was when I did not use guardians favor. At no other time is this a common problem. I don't mind logging out so much but now I'm losing leves and guardian's favor regularly.

I am running on XP, intel core 2 quad, 3 GB of ram, nVidia 9800 GT. FFXIV is set to standard or low on all settings.

Sounds like driver issues more than anything. I had an LS buddy who had the same thing and he simply reinstalled the driver and it fixed it

Well I updated my drivers and it's still happening. Would you suggest I completely uninstall and reinstall?

do a clean install of the drivers.

It could be something in one of the files got corrupted, and isnt part of the update

Tried that Valkyrie, so far so good.

Also thanks Xophious. I wasn't sure if it was an issue with the game or an issue with my computer at first so I just took a stab at it.
