The economy is fine the way it is.

I am really not understanding why there are so many complaints about the end game gil income. I have made plenty on and off the AH. The game was clearly made to make people work together, anything that you can acquire with gil, you can acquire without. You can repair your gear, you can pay others to repair your gear. The game was clearly made in mind with the community becoming mostly independent of the npcs. I teleport like a madman and still purchase repairs from npcs, with no problems. Are you speedrunning amp over and over again? Why are you passing up chests with items that their only purpose is to sell to merchants. I'll be honest, when the instance ends, I teleport back and get any passed chests in instances. You can't complain about a lack of gil income if you are running by money. If you are dying repeatedly, maybe you need to increase your gear, or skills. Go back to a lower instance.

Edit: Sorry about multiple posts, just found out how to use edit to break character limit.

Every resource is literally free in this game. The long term effects of this game are that you need the community. At first, leveling to fifty, I felt that this game was almost anti-party anti-friends with the dungeon finder being cross server. I was telling these people shouting for tanks and healers at copperbell mines that they should talk to eachother, find two arcanists and split tanking duties with the carbuncles. You need to find alternate solutions when one thing isnt working for you.

If you are doing instances and dying repeatedly, you are in an area that you need better gear for. Are you farming tomestones? Well, you are actually farming something that you KNOW is not for gil. Don't complain about something that you are actively not doing. Sometimes when I am bored, I just find monsters that I passed by earlier in the game and start killing them, just to see what they drop.

I'm not sure about you, but the aldgoats have like three drops and their skin sells for 300 gil apeice on ah. I think it is overpriced, but it is an option, even without that, you can sell their meat or sinew to merchants. I can stack 100 skins in 20 minutes, not to mention the other stuff they drop.

I understand that the AH can make money individually and that currently everything is overpriced so it may not directly represent the gil income of the overall economy and you think its just chumps buying overpriced stuff but if these people have all thise money to buy overpriced items, they are getting it from somewhere you apparently are not. The entire AH community is not making poor use of gil, to a lot of people its simply not as expensive as it is to you.

So the next time you need repairs, use your search function to find the guy you need to repair your stuff, or don't be level syncing your gear so hard and then dying so much. Or don't die so much, or don't run by chests with money in them. If there does come a time when people are trying to make a petition for more gil to drop at endgame, I hope there is a petition to not let them have that, I will support not increasing gil drops in favor of having a game that will find its flavor by letting the community rely upon eachother instead of NPCs.

We will all want to have housing districts to show off to eachother and all get to know eachother on our servers. Try networking a little bit, or understanding that your intrinsic value is more than your main job. I will be happy when there are people offering repair services in town. I will be glad when crafting for "tips" goes away and people understand that it can be a market for a service with a set price.

Your entitlement to free stuff disgusts me, if a lot more gil is flooded in, prices will just go through the roof, people complain about RMT (I do to, I blacklist and report anyone soliciting it and hope you do the same) because it wrecks economies, but flooding in more money into an economy also crashes it.

More gil being dumped in will simply mean more inflation. So, use your guildleves, they give money and experience, they are free and they are limited, for a reason, do a good job and you get TRIPLE yes, HQ items on craft leves give TRIPLE reward, gil and xp. So, take a break from dying to Ifrit and actually work on your gil stat. Sorry, if this was too long, but I really hate that they want to can this MMO into the single player experience that WOW was for me. Longevity comes from community, not from gil rewards for solo play.

Don't forget that you have Gold Farmer that you have to compete with for Materials and Resource, the Market Place have price Under Cutting so bad that by the time you try to compete and sale your item in the Market Place, you better off selling it to NPC because you end up with the value too low to even make a profit. I have seen stuff get Under Cut from 50k all the way down to 10k and sometime even worst. I can't sale anything anymore because of this under cutter. I try to buy all the stuff when the Under Cut is so low and re-sale it, but then my items end up not selling because of people Under Cut my items.
