The issue that I have above all else in ffxiv is the crafting.
I understand the need for balance but currently the system implemented is not balanced at all. Its virtually pointless to level a craft.
I mean why not simply offer lots of different types of high end gear that crafters could make. Not just one specific set but multiple sets per job, and I understand that this is the beginning of the game but I kind of see a future trend where crafting becomes obsolete.
I dont have a problem with High end dungeon gear, in fact I love that. But at least make the grind to 50, the need for hq af crafting set, along with the need to finish the crafting achievement or story worth all the effort.
If we put all this time into something we should at least get something of equal measure in return. All i'm really saying is that I would rather you eliminate crafting from the game altogether, rather than giving us this minor tease.
