    Healer Synergy

is it just me or does it seem like there is synergy between each tank and a specific healer?

WAR + SCH will give a higher Adloquium which will in turn absorb more with its shield. SCH's high combat mana regen will allow them to dump heals on the WAR with increased potency. The increase in healing provided by the WAR seems to even benefit Fairy heals.

PLD + WHM will grant the WHM a chance to not have to spam large heals out. End game WHM have a high concern about Mana drain so this eases that stress. Damage Mitigation will allow the WHM regen/smaller cures to be more effective. The additional physical and magical damage provided by a trait boosted Protect does benefit both classes, but helps push PLD over the top.

Stoneskin and Protect are similiar and majority of SCH run with these abilities...so these are mutually benefitial.

When using PLD+SCH or WAR+WHM they seem to lose synergy. While they can be equally effective, its just an interesting data point I noticed.

Adloquium gives a damage shield based on the amount of health healed, right?

I'm just gonna copy/paste from another thread and change the wording and numbers around:

    Adloquium heals for 100.
PLD has 20% damage reduction, gains 100 damage shield from adloquium.
WAR has 15% healing potency, gains 115 damage shield from adloquium.
    Enemy does 115 damage.
Enemy breaks through the WAR's stoneskin in 1 hit(115 damage taken)
Enemy does NOT break through the PLD's adloquium in 1 hit(92 damage taken, 8 shields remaining)

Myself (pld) and my friend (sch) were just talking about this at work the other day. He definitely feels like he has an easier time with WAR tanks than PLD, not much, he's had no trouble healing PLDs, but it's enough of a difference to be slightly noticable. Additionally, as a PLD I prefer having a WHM healer, nothing against SCH, they keep me alive just fine, but it feels like things just go smoother when I'm with a WHM.

Something I'm still getting used to as a White Mage is letting more Warriors use some of their self healing abilities, because a lot of times, I'll just treat them like a paladin, thinking that only I can restore their HP. But by doing this, I'm robbing the Warrior of about four or so abilities that could otherwise make my job easier.

Btw. Sch gets a huge modifier in crit heal shields. So that 15% turns to a shield that is 45% larger than on a PLD.
