Nobody seems to realize that everything in the economy was cut down to 1/10 of its original value. The whole point is that all of the numbers are supposed to be smaller, but people kept charging bigger in the beginning, so you have a bunch of people that blew all their money and don't know how to get it back. New players put enough gil into the system as it is, and we don't really need battle classes that bring in 100k a day just for killing monsters. Take a look at the price of NPC gear - you can get level 40~ gear for 5k~. Things weren't meant to cost so much. And please, do not mix up the two key points of the gil argument. A battle class who can't afford repairs because they squandered their gil has nothing to do with a "gil generating problem." It's not your job to "generate gil" at that point, it's your job to get existing gil. There is enough gil being generated by other players to support the intended price of things, you just can't blow it all on overpriced items. Discuss!
