Damn. That sucks. I was hoping that you'd be able to tab out of it with 'select', but I guess not.

Likely, the game's tracking the button presses, and the large amount of them overloads the variable size that was designed for it, and starts dumping the text in the next memory location - which I'm guessing is the actual chat screen.

Funny enough, that was a brute force hack in the 80's when... ~cough~

ALLEGEDLY, it was a hack, and worked in the manner that I described - by overloading the memory's storage of the user's password, and allowing machine code to be entered into the next memory space. Effectively dropping you to the root. Anyhow, sorry to hear about it, and now I have to be more careful too :/
