    I don't understand this rage.

Some people do things like put Orange Juice up for 1 gil or other things cheap because it makes up for the capitalistic slobs who won't reply to a noob "Hey where can I get orange juice for a quest?" that costs 10 gil or something, but the AH 'gurus' sell them for 1,000 like in beta.

A lot of people do that to help out other folks. They don't need the 100 gil from the vendor, so they put it up for 1 gil on the Market to help out someone who might cannot afford it because other people are trying to rip them off.

A big part of it on Hyperion is the world is overpopulated (moreso than the others). Most other worlds have been unlocked to character creation for at least short periods of time, but Hyperion? Never. There's too big a supply of everything and that's why prices are getting so low.

Funny how people thought everyone was going to be price gouging because of the redenomination but my how short-lived that was.

Another part of it is people being stupid. Some things are vendor trash and simply shouldn't be put up on the markets much. I've even seen some people selling items on the market for less than their value to an NPC vendor. That had me scratching my head. Not only are you asking for less than the NPC, but you're paying a fee too.

I was thinking that too about Hyperion's population... But then wouldn't there also be A LOT more people to buy things? Unless there's no reason to buy anything?

I know some part of this will just take a long time to work out, 6 months or so, but there's just too much damn stuff up, I do see so many things going for less than 10 gil, and the NPC vendor is like 7 gil.... but the actual effort for the item is way more than 10 gil.. there's just nothing to do.

It does take time, but like Ashgarth said; there's really no need to buy anything.

I actually DID realize that I can double/triple bond some HQ gear, and make pieces slightly better than Dungeon drops at any given level, but the amount of money and work... nobody is going to pay for it when you'll be gaining 4-5 levels by afternoon...

I guess Materia is the only market that's going to be decent until 50, it seems to take forever to spirtbond past 30

It's not going to sort itself out. There are several notable design flaws with the game that break the economy, such as:

    - Too few items, which causes prices to drop very quickly because everyone is selling the same few.
    - Most crafted items are no different than quest rewards. There's little reason to buy things you can get for free.
    - Repair costs (being addressed, I know)
    - Too few uncommon/rare items, most of which are unsellable. Monsters don't drop gear, either.
    - Crafting in general doesn't pay off until Level 40+.
    - Crafted items are almost universally inferior to dungeon loot.

    And many other things.

Lol you guys are funny, I spend plenty of Gil on markets, and make plenty of Gil from the markets, mostly from food and mats, just because you can get gear easily doesn't mean there is a problem with the markets, sell some other stuff like materia, rare minions, or food and mats.

The problem is that everything is too easy. Crafting is easy, content is easy, everyone has everything 2 weeks after release. People walking with relics +1, full gear HQ, darklight gear, Allagan gear, people are decked out on all crafts/gatherer jobs.
    That is the problem.

All the items dropped from raids are worthless because they drop like rain, everything is easily obtainable, hence everyone has everything and prices go down. Game is too easy.
    Nope, you are wrong

You're wrong because what is and isn't considered "difficult" is subjective. You might have had an easy time fighting Chimera, others are have spent about 2 weeks trying to down it. You might have downed Garuda(Hard) in a couple hours, some are still trying to defeat her. You're wrong because you're generalizing an entire community based solely off your own perspective.

I'm sure there will be elitists who will scoff and say "Pfft, that was easy!" but in all honesty I did have trouble with Hydra, Garuda, and even Titan. It took some concentration, and a considerable amount of devoted time to beat them all. (Especially Titan.) So really, in the end you can't use the hardcore gamer progression as evidence to the ease of a game.
