What are tomes for?

Hi I've been hearing a lot of talk about tomes and etc and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what it is? google hasn't been very helpful

tomes or tombstones? if its tomes as in books they are arcanist weapon but its tombstones then they are kind of begaining to be endgame currency, used to buy high lvl gear, they are droped in lvl 40+ dungeons

oh then I meant tombstones. Ohh okay, where do I exchange them? and do I need to complete the story in order to have access to exchanging them?

i see that you're 47, so you may have already encountered them
i don't think you have to complete story quest first, but i remember that there is a quest leading you there
it's on mor dhona, one of the npcs on the tent, the right one

I think you should look closer are your currency window cause they are called Tomestones not tombstones. :P
