Don't you love tab-targeting in this game?

In complete agreement. I mean, I'm fighting this worm drake down in the deserts of South Thanalan right? I tab target to the next mob that's standing right next to me breathing fire and crap. Getting a bit crispy. Fun stuff. But do I target him? Nooooo.
Instead, I've got the MOON highlighted. It's in ORBIT. WHY?! I'm pretty sure I can't reach it. Maybe if I level Dragoon to infinity and use Jump.

yea its terrible, iv switched to using target nearest enemy....but that runs into los issues too. stupid adds on the last boss in ampdaor losing on the statues. >;/

I wish it take priority that it Target the closest monster first, instead of randomly everywhere, there is many time in Dungeon and Fate it would Target the mob all the way in the back. Then there is time, it take literally minutes to target the summon bells when I stand right next to it.

Press F12 to target nearest npc. Unless there are minions everywhere then good luck. Use the numpad 4 and 6.
There are loads of targeting options in this game that I had no idea existed until I looked at keybindings.

There needs to be a filter for marked targets. That way what u pull u know u will always target, if u marked at least.

Agreed. It's pretty horrible, but I'd be lying if I said this was the only Asian MMO that had this problem. Honestly, they all have it. I think it might be a preference of theirs.
