I don't have really any issues with this... If you read the targeting system info, It selects the CLOSEST target to you first... hence your sequence.... If you think about it logically, if you are in combat... USUALLY the closest target is the one you're usually engaged in... many times might not be facing it directly either...

I created a video tutorial to help controller players in the new player help section... I've been playing this setup since the beginning and have no gripes. I sometimes see controller players in dungeons getting heat from mouse and key players. It's also funny how after they chew somebody out, I tell them i play on controller... I don't get complains from my playstyle because I can efficiently work it. If they don't believe me I simply direct them to my live stream link and give em a wink. LOL!

you can try these settings and see if this helps during runs, but the targeting still goes CLOSEST to FURTHEST.
