I'm curious to know what makes you think they did not intend for us to run through trash in end game dungeons? From playing 1.0 they made it clear that they wanted you to run through trash and kill the bosses as quickly as possible or you wouldn't make the timer. Heck they even made speed runs part of getting your relic. While I do wish people in DF didn't force the newer players starting off to participate in speed runs especially since wiping at a boss multiple times makes speed runs less efficient than clearing trash. I still have to advocate my support for those of us who can properly clear AK in 20 minutes by following speed run tactics. The number of tomestones it takes to by gear, particularly gear bought with tomestones of mythology you have to spend your time farming efficiently unless you want to take a year to gear out a single class.

This all comes back down to play style, unfortunately you cannot pick who you get in the DF but we all know that that is going to be hit or miss no matter what. However you can find people who match your play style and group up with them, there is nobody stopping you from doing that. With that said it is annoying to see posts like this coming into the forums stating that people are forcing their play style on you and petitioning SE to force your play style on us. Live and let live find people like yourself and have fun, just stop trying to change the world to match what you see to be ideal. You may not have fun with speed runs but I do with my group of people I run with, and I enjoy shaving off as much time as possible in our speed runs. I don't force that on you so don't force me to clear trash 1000 times just to get my AF2. Thank you.
